INTRODUCTION
An inventory system is a software based business solution used to simultaneously
track inventory. Manufacturers can benefit from a thorough solution where single
transactions entry records necessary details of the water container being delivered,
date and time, quantity of containers while also updating inventory levels. Using
computerized inventory systems allows for much greater accuracy in stocking and
product management. They make the work of employees easy
Inventory is the aggregate value of a stock of goods or complete listing of
merchandise or stock on hand, work in progress, raw materials, finished goods on
hand, made each year by a business concern inventory concerns the balance
between replenishment lead time, carrying costs of inventory, asset management,
inventory forecasting, inventory valuation, inventory visibility, future inventory
price forecasting, physical inventory, available physical space, quality
management, replenishment, returns and defective goods, and demand forecasting.
Balancing these competing requirements leads to optimal inventory levels, which
is an ongoing process as the business needs shift and react to the wider environment
functions to balance the need for product availability against the need for
minimizing stock.

manufacturing systems to service businesses and projects, by generalizing the
definition to be "all work within the process of production- all work that is or has
occurred prior to the completion of production."

Background of the Study
Two years after the Allies dissolved the first Lufthansa (founded in 1926)
in 1951, the “AktiengesellschaftfürLuftverkehrsbedarf” (Luftag) with
headquarters in Cologne was founded on January 6, 1953. On August 6,
1954 Luftag bought the name, the trademark – the crane – and the colors
– blue and yellow – from the first Lufthansa, which was in liquidation at the
time, and has since then called itself "Deutsche Lufthansa
Aktiengesellschaft” (Deutsche Lufthansa Stock Company). Multiple tasks
had to be accomplished by the new airline before it could begin flight
traffic: finding and buying suitable airplanes, schooling airline pilots and
engineers and training air stewards. Organizational and infrastructural
prerequisites for the technical maintenance of airplanes also had to be set.
The ambitious project succeeded: on April 1, 1955 two Convair airplanes
took off from Hamburg and Munich to commence scheduled air services.
Parallel to the development of a European route network, flights to
destinations in America, Africa and the Far East were also added shortly
after. Since 1958, the red rose has stood for the fulfilment of the highest
comfort requirements in First Class on intercontinental routes.

managing the Company and defining its strategic direction. In doing so,
the aim is to increase Company value sustainably. The Supervisory Board

company in the Lufthansa Group. The individual business segments are
run as separate Group companies, with the exception of the Lufthansa
Passenger Airlines. They have their own profit and operating responsibility
and are monitored by their respective supervisory boards, in which
members of Deutsche Lufthansa AG’s Executive Board are also
represented. As a leading European airline group, the aim of the
Lufthansa Group is to take on a key role in shaping the global aviation
market and to remain the first choice for shareholders, customers and

Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) Founded in the year 2000 a leading
manufacturer independent provider of maintenance, repair, overhaul and
modification services for civil aircraft. With tailored maintenance programs
and state of the art repair methods, Lufthansa Technik ensures the
unbroken reliability and availability of its customers' fleets and its

employees a joint venture company of Lufthansa Technik AG and Macro
Asia Corporation, offers a wide range of aircraft maintenance, repair and
overhaul (MRO) services to customers worldwide Through our satellite
offices in Cebu, Clark and Davao, we provide aircraft line maintenance
support to domestic and international airlines. Lufthansa Technik
Philippines is located at the center of Southeast Asia, within a four-hour
flight radius of major international hubs in Asia such as Singapore and
Hong Kong Within a special economic zone at the Ninoy Aquino
International Airport, its facility occupies a total area of 229,000 square
meters.
And aside from that More than 3,800 employees are also hired in each
department based on their skill, talent, experience, and educational
backgrounds, and etc. The purpose to hire in a large amount of People
was to boost the growth of the business and service based on our
research CEO/President who manage the company The Germany Dr.
Burkhard Andrich so decided to establish a department of Water Refilling
station Inside Lufthansa Technik Philippines.
To less the daily or monthly expenses of Gallons or Bottle water that being
delivered in every department that consumed every year.
The Water Station was established on May 2 of 2003. The water station
was recognized for sixteen years. They only have one water station

because it is only for the employees of Lufthansa Technik Philippines.
They have clean facilities to give the customers a clean purified drinking
water they only supply purified water on all departments of their company.

Based on our research the Lufthansa technik Philippines was established
in year 2000. The former CEO/President who manages the business is a
German named Dr. Burkhard Andrich. So they decided to establish a of
water refilling station inside Lufthansa Technik Philippines to lessen the
Monthly expenses of drinking water that is being delivered in every
department that is consumed every day.
The Water Station was established on May 2 of 2003. The water Station
was recognized for 16 years. They only have one water station because it
is only for the employees of Lufthansa Technik Philippines’. They have
clean facilities to give the customers a clean purified drinking water they
only supply purified water on all departments of their company.

the water refilling station’s current status system is using Microsoft Excel.
They input there the quantity of the gallons that are empty and refilled, the
time and date being delivered to their departments, and also the list of
departments. After encoding the inventory in the Microsoft Excel, they will
print out the form.
1.3 Statement of Objectives
1.3.1 General Objective
The General objective of this study is to develop an inventory system for
the workers to view the inventory of the water station. The purpose of the
inventory system is to enhance the manual inventory of the water station
and minimize work of employees. It will organize the record for retrieval in
monitoring. It also has a file maintenance module that will handle the files,
records and important data of the business. To implement a generated
module that will handle the inventory reports.

1.3.3 Limitations of the study
Overview of the current of the technology
The Water Refilling Station’s current system is using Microsoft Excel and file
binders. They input there the Quantity of delivery and also the gallons that are
empty and refilled, the time and date being delivered to their departments, and also
the list of departments. After encoding the inventory in the Microsoft Excel, they
will print out the form.

enhance the manual inventory of the Water Station and minimize work of

A recent survey on various studies addressing analytic modeling,
simulations and case studies on inventory inaccuracy problem, RFID potential
benefits, the bullwhip effects experiments, and return on investment (ROI) analyses
as well as replenishment policies in supply chain management is presented by Sarac
et al.
Kang and Gershwin develop an analytical and simulation model for
inventory inaccuracy due to the stock loss under a single-item inventory system and
regular replenishment order (Q, R) policy. They compute explicit values of stock
out and average inventory for different ordering parameters, demand variables, and
lead time. They take a combination of demand for purchases having a normal
distribution and a demand for loss described by a Poisson distribution. They show
that even a small amount of recurring stock loss not reflected in the inventory
information systems can disrupt the replenishment process such that revenue loss
due to stock out could exceed the stock losses themselves. They also show that
through RFID technology, one can achieve the best stock out-inventory
compromise (the lowest inventory for any given stock out), and that the benefit of
inventory accuracy provided by RFID becomes greater as the desired level of stock
out becomes smaller.
It is estimated that over half of health care facilities (HCFs) in developing
countries lack access to hand washing facilities [1]. Consequently, the risk of
healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) in developing countries is approximately
2–20 times greater than in higher-income countries [2]. Poor hand hygiene in
healthcare facilities is a long-recognized risk factor for HAIs [3]. Additional
barriers to performing adequate hand washing include healthcare worker
acceptance and limited patient participation and empowerment [4–5]. Access to
safe drinking water for the oral administration of medications is a related
problem. Using contaminated drinking water to provide medications, including
anti-tuberculosis drugs, de-worming medications, first doses of antibiotics for

common infections, zinc and Vitamin A, and oral rehydration solutions can
increase the risk of enteric infections in all patients and the risk of opportunistic
infections in HIV-infected persons [6–7]. In recognition of these problems, the
World Health Organization (WHO) / United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)
Joint Monitoring Programmed (JMP) have proposed for the post2015 Sustainable
Development Goals that by 2030 all HCFs should have an improved water source
and hand washing facilities that have both water and soap available for hand
washing near food preparation, sanitation, and patient care areas. To achieve these
targets, considerable investments in infrastructural improvements at HCFs will be
needed. Therefore, in the short to medium term, affordable and effective solutions
are needed to protect the health of patients and staff through improved access to
hand washing facilities and safe drinking water in HCFs. One potential solution
that has proven feasible includes installation of inexpensive, portable, hand
washing and safe drinking water stations; distribution of starter supplies of soap
and water treatment products; and healthcare worker training on safe water and
hand hygiene.
In addition to filling this evidence gap, there are several strengths to this
study. The study design is novel in that it utilizes a two by two randomized
factorial design, in a real world school setting. To date randomized controlled
trials have not been the predominant approach to test interventions regarding
SSBs in the school setting. The recent systematic review by Vezina-Im et al.
reported only 36% of studies utilized this design. The inclusion use of a factorial
design is also beneficial and increases the efficiency of the study by
simultaneously investigating two interventions by including all schools in both
analyses and to consider both the separate effects of each intervention and the
benefits of receiving both interventions together [20]. A further strength of the
study design is the testing of the intervention across differing health regions as
well as across different secondary settings (including public, private and catholic

schools). It is also anticipated that the findings from the study will be robust and
generalizable to other school populations, both nationally and internationally, as
the inclusion of remote water meter monitoring on chilled water stations will
provide an objective, continuous measure of water consumption and will assist to
validate the findings from the student self-report survey regarding their water
consumption.
All water stations were used extensively by koalas throughout the year
(605 visits in total). Of these, 401 visits resulted in koalas drinking. Koalas always
visited the drinkers alone, except for females carrying a young (Fig 3) and the
latter never drank. Koalas spent 56% of the total time at the water stations
engaged in drinking behavior. The rest of the time was spent moving (16%),
vigilant (9%), investigating the stations (5%) and in other less frequent behaviors
such as self-grooming, scratching and calling for mates (14%). Numerous other
animals visited the drinkers, including sugar gliders (Petaurus breviceps), feather
tail gliders (Acrobates pygmaeus), brush tail possums (Trichosurus vulpecula) at
tree drinkers and echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus), Eastern grey kangaroos
(Macropus giganteous), hares (Lepus europaeus), feral cats (Felis catus) and red
foxes (Vulpes vulpes) at ground drinkers, though the latter was also detected in
trees.

disinfect and ready to refill. And more Than 200 gallons and drinking water
are daily delivered of all Departments enough

Overview of the project
In this chapter we study and research inside Lufthansa Technik Philippines
the water refilling station Department, were in we observe that they might
have a positive and negative tactical Procedure where in the negative side
is the hectic task is paper works that make work so double meaning duties
and time consumed, while the positive side was on the spot employees work
together as a team to manage a water station even though inventory paper
works makes many consumed time, strategies, and effort. Based on the
charts, hard copy presenting a monthly or daily manning that set to be File
binders of the inventory conducting every month or year. We propose a
system based on computerized Counting or inventory manning for a daily
task for the employee to maintain short accident and loss counts, papers,
file binders, and etc. other that landline calls or cell phone calls are the only
optional to contact the departments and the manager other that calls are
just needed for reports and feedbacks and special request by the
departments. We manage to put a way to communicate with the department
with some that will be based also by reports, feedbacks and some
promotions as well.
We also managed to put some short flow chart about the procedures system
of the water station step by step with a meaning of every flow. To manage
or train a newly employee of how Lufthansa do things in their ways.

resources inside Lufthansa files only a manager and a regular employee

We conduct that our final result on our study and research in Lufthansa
water refilling station we review Our interview question for our study system
we find out there are conducting a monthly inventory for a Monitor of volume
of water and counts bottles, gallons, etc. and responsible for operation of
water Refilling station is manager Mr. Gerardo T. Piano or will be a sign by
a manager of a regular employee in water refilling department, and our
system will be based to conduct an easy task to operate on our inventory
That will be regularly monitoring each month by computerized manning. And
a brief interview question worker tends to clean and purify gallons without
knowing the procedure for that we manage to put a brief short procedure
chart for the beginner employees. As we conduct a research inside
Lufthansa company, every department or station need to be organized and
procedures. As we though research the water station in Lufthansa they
maintain direct paper works for their delivery computation, and manning
based on hard copy of their files and will be directing given to the manager
“direct” means like calls are given for complains and feedbacks also by the
department and its well organized by a regular employee.
Result and Discussion
In this chapter we will discuss the result of the management in Lufthansa
water refilling station Department were in they designed a list of their copy
files which is shown in their inventory result, Based on their file binders and

text books. There are two sub chart files, the first chart is based on Returns
and used of empty gallons that will be proceed to cleansing procedure, while
on the second Chart is based on list to deliver and counts to give in each
department.
Lufthansa Technik Philippines an aircraft maintenance system. On the year
of 2003 Lufthansa manage a Water refilling station for the purpose to
excess the amount of mineral water expense is more than 1.7 Million every
month based on the outside source company the designed is based on
manual type description.
As we thoroughly research inside the Lufthansa water refilling station based
on their Inventory System Was performed manually transaction records are
counted by list and directly will be file on their hard Copy, file binders. And
there’s another file binder is being records for empty gallons that are returns
in every department also being counted and listed, to be Clean, disinfect
and ready to refill. And there are 200 gallons and drinking water are daily
delivered of all Department enough water for every Employee.
