Report Certificate

This document is a project report on an extensive survey conducted by civil engineering students at Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management. The report details four projects: a water supply and sanitation project, a highway project, a new tank project, and an old tank project. For the water and sanitation project, students surveyed land to design water pipelines and sewers for a new residential colony. They also designed an overhead water tank. For the highway project, students surveyed a proposed road alignment and designed horizontal and vertical curves. The new tank project involved surveying a dam site and designing canals and outlets. For the old tank project, students analyzed rainfall data and computed storage capacity to upgrade an existing dam bund.

EXTENSIVE SURVEY PROJECT

SYNOPSIS

This project work involves the investigation, surveying, planning and design work.

The project works includes fly leveling and transferring of benchmark with respect to
MSL from the railway station Bhatkal to various points in the project area which includes water
supply and sanitary project, highway project, new tank project and old bund project.

The water supply and sanitary work includes the alignment and design of the water
supply pipes and sewers in the proposed residential colony at ANJUMANABAD. Survey works
are conducted to determine the different possible alignment of sewers. The map of the area
was prepared by plane table survey. Proposed project work includes the design of sewerage
system and also water supply system including the design of an overhead water tank. If this
project is implemented, it will help Bhatkal people to occupy this newly proposed residential
area and the sanitary condition of the area will also be improved.

The highway project includes the suitable and economical alignment of the road. Design
of various elements along the road such horizontal curves, thickness of pavements etc are
considered. Proposed alignment is ANJUMANBAD road to SAGAR road.

The new tank project work deals with alignment of centre line of the proposed weir,
capacity surveys and canal alignments. Proposed new tank project will help in irrigating more
fields, which in turn will improve the living conditions of the village.

The old bund project site is located in Gulmi and it proposed to upgrade the existing
bund over there.
