Project Synopsis

1. Accounts
The project which was given to us was
to find the ratio analysis of two
pharmaceutical companies; Sun
pharmaceutical and Lupin and go
through their Consolidated Profit and
loss statement and balance sheet of 3
years (Sun Pharmaceutical) and 2 years
(Lupin).
The project was led by Indrajit who was
regularly in touch with Prof. Reena
Aggarwal and learned about the whole
process and does & don’ts of the
project later he provided the same
insight in the group. Later work was
divided and every member took their
share of work, which were
 Lupin 2014-15 done by Akarshi
Gupta
 Lupin 2015-16 done Aditi Mishra
 Sun Pharma 2016-17 Aditya Kumar
Singh
 Sun Pharma 2017-18 Aman Agarwal
 Sun Pharma 2018-19 Indrajit
Team was able to complete the ratio
finding only the part of analysis is tend
to be completed which would done in a
week’s time.
 Understanding of the functioning
was difficult as many of us were not
of commerce background.
2. Marketing
Ethical issue of E-commerce
Marketing is been thought by Dr. Reeti
Agarwal and she gave us the list of
Ethical Issues for our project and we
chose Ethical Issues in E-Marketing and
the due date for presentation was
given there itself which was 11th of
September 2019.
Aditi Mishra took the charge for this
project and she called us on the same
table regarding the project, where all
the member had a discussion and listed
the sub topics under the project and
then Aditi allotted the topic according
to the liking of the members.
On the next day Aditi called everyone
again and the member were present
with their work allotted to them and
from there after they focused on
making the PPT according to the
project.
Sub topics of the E-marketing were
 Web Spoofing done by Aman
Agarwal
 Cyber Squalling done by Aditi
Mishra
 Web Tracking and Privacy Invasion
done by Akarshi Gupta
 Online Privacy done by Aditya
Kumar Singh
 Email Spamming done By Indrajit
 Absentees
 Conflicts regarding sub topics
 Group thinking also happened for
collaboration, cooperation and
adjustment
 There was group cohesiveness for
common purpose

3. Management
Dr. Manish Yadav one of our finest
facility gave us a project to understand
management from the point of view an
organization, which was to visit an
organization and ask question
regarding principles of management.
Sub Topics were
 Planning prepared by Aditi mishra
 Organizing prepared by Aman
Agarwal
 Directing prepared by Idrajit
 Leadership and Staffing prepared by
Akarshi Gupta
 Motivation prepared by Aditya
Kumar Singh
There were certain hindrance
regarding the selection of organization
first, as initially we were willing to go to
SBI bank for our project but the idea
was dropped because majority of the
member said to visit a private sector
organization. We preferred private
sector after a common conclusion that
area of learning in private sector would
be more when compared to a
government sector. Then after a day
we were able to fix an appointment
with the HR of Vodafone.
There were certain differences
regarding the sub topics as no
individual was a declared head of this
subject rather everybody was given
equal opportunity to lead the group
regarding this subject and there was no
profound sign of any conflict rather
everyone collaborated and adjusted in
the moment.
 Choosing the industry,
 finding the contact
 Division of sub-topic
 Forming the questions
 We have to skip our class, due to
the meeting timings
4. Stats
We have to decide any 2 FMCG
company and we have to find the
opening and closing of the stock of that
company provided by BSE this task was
appointed by Dr. Masood H. Siddique.
We choose Hindustan Unilever Limited
and Indian Tobacco Company popularly
known as HUL and ITC respectively.
We download the data for last 60 days
from finace.yahoo.com and imported
the data in excel.
 Descriptive analysis of both the
company was done by Aman
Agrawal
 HUL opening stock probability was
done by Aditi Mishra
 HUL closing stock probability was
done by Akarshi Gupta
 ITC opening stock probability was
done by Aditya Kumar Singh
 ITC closing stock probability was
done by Indrajit.

 Whole project is on excel, less

knowledge regarding excel
 Lack of communication
 Lack of clarity about the project
 Working on very slow pace
5. M.E
Airlines industry
This project was introduced to us on
11th September, 2019 by Prof. R.K. Ohja
this project was led by Aditya and we
look into it as to get much of the clarity
regarding the project.
OUTDOOR GROUP ACTIVITY -TEAM WORK
In this activity class was divided into two team
(except few students ,who are responsible for
reviewing the task)each team member was
supposed to walk on the given path one by one,
which was in a shape of inverted U .But the
interesting point was that each one has to walk on
newspaper, which was put by the first member
who will walk through the path along with keeping
newspapers.(means the first person will put the
newspaper then stand on it, then put the other
newspaper and so on )The point to be kept in mind
the leg shouldn’t fall on bare ground .In each team
there was one blind person who was also suppose
to walk the path .The last member was responsible
for removing the newspaper without keeping leg
on the surface without newspaper. Each team was
having 25 members around. They were few
students who were reviewing the task and
responsible for disqualifying a person whose leg
fall on the bare ground. No one was leader in any
team. The beauty of the group activity was one
of the team win without having a leader. The
most difficult part was the blind person pass
through the path way without putting leg outside
the newspaper. This was a challenging task.
KEY OBSERVATIONS-
1.The weak person of a team i.e. the blind person
was made to sat on shoulder of the one team
member. The blind person was having believe on
that person and other group members. Because of
the trust he was confident that he will not fall
down from the shoulder.
2.Members of team don’t see blind person as an
obstruction to the team activity but consider it as
opportunity. They were happily willing to take him
along with all.
3.Team members especially girls had taken out
their sandals so that they can give their best and
they don’t want the legs to be slipped by the
sandals.
4.Many times happen team members leg fall
beyond the newspaper and they have to start the
activity again. There was no frustration and there
was no blame game. There was huge enthusiasm
among members.
5.Each member of the group was cooperating at
max. Their only aim was complete the task and
win the task. There was no social loafing and
the roles of each member of the team was very
clear.
With the winning of one team the activity came to
end. But there was lesson to learn – that the team
work is an effective way of completing a task.

Desert Survival Exercise

In this exercise we were given situation of the
group being present in the desert with 15 items
with us that we have to rank in order of their
importance. In first part of activity, we gave the
items our individual rank. In the second part of the
activity, we were supposed to rank the item as a
group.
In the group, any one of us presented his/her side
argument on that item. If anyone didn’t agree with
the argument presented, then he/she was given a
chance his/her side. After listening to all the
discussion, the member of the group showed their
level of acceptance by raising their hands and the
rank was given to it.
One of the 15 items was A Cosmetic Mirror on
which there was a lot of difference in the group. 4
of us gave it the least preference item, but one of
us gave it a high preference. The interesting thing
was that the he alone was able to convince us to
give it high Rank. This very clearly show how
members of the group make the decision on the
basis of the new perception shown to us and the
group was able to see the same and then there was
a group shift on placing the priority of the
cosmetic mirror.
Item Difference between
Group Rank and
Expert Ranking
Flashlight 3
Jack Knife 2
Sectional air map 2
Plastic Raincoat 0
Magnetic compass 5
Compress kit with 6
gauze
45 caliber pistol 2
Parachute 6
Bottle of salt 1
1 litre of water bottle 0
A book entitled, edible 5
animals of the desert
A pair of sunglasses 1
per person
2 quarts of rum 2
1 overcoat per person 3
A cosmetic mirror 10
Team Score 48

When the group ranked the 15 items, the result

was somewhat different from the individual rank
given by the members. This shows that the persons
tends to behave differently in the group because
when he has belonging of group he has to consider
the point of view of the other group members. The
person has some constraints when acting in group.
