Miss Kelly has a very clear lesson plan. She made it clear as to what she will be teaching. She also
showed how she will meet various levels for students.

Miss Kelly has planned a whole group lesson with review. She then planned for Centers to check for
understanding. Each center is equipped with manipulatives and modifications for students so that all
levels will feel successful.

The students are clear as to what is expected of them. Miss Kelly has set the behavior standard early on
in the semester. She is consistant with managing student behavior. Miss Kelly responds to student
misbehavior quickly and calmly.

3-Routines for distribution and collection of materials is efficient and transitions between activities are smooth.

Miss Kelly distributes and collects materials with the help of the Teacher's Helper. Students know the
classroom routines which makes transitions smooth.

3-The classroom culture is one of high expectations where students understand their role as learners and
consistently expend effort to learn.

As soon as the students walk into the classroom, they know the routine and what is expected of them.
For this lesson, the students know to get in their math whole group spots on the carpet. They feel
confident and free to raise their hands to answer questions without worrying if they get an answer
wrong. Moving to Centers is smooith, verbal direction is still given as they move. The students are excited
to move to the next challenge.

Miss Kelly is using assessment throughout the lesson. Asking questions during warmup math and whole
group helps check for understanding. Assessment continues as students complete work independently.
Each student has their work checked and one-on-one help is given to anyone struggling.

This is a strong area for Miss Kelly. She can roll with any interruption or diversion from a lesson and bring
it back to the task at hand. She adjusted a whole group experience when the Promethean Board wasn't
working. Students have also asked unexpected questions and Miss Kelly is able to change the plan to
accommodate the students needs.

Miss Kelly has a very positve rapport with staff, students, and families. She has been a member of our
Professional Learning Committee (PLC). She is an important member and will be missed when her Student
Teaching experience is over.

and actively works to provide opportunities for student success.

Miss Kelly comes in everyday with high standards for herself, the students, and the staff. She shows
professionalism in all she does. She is receptive to feedback from colleagues and shares her knowledge
with others.

Miss Kelly has a good rapport with the student's families. She has imprompu meetings with parents at
dismissal. She will also be in attendace at Parent/Teacher Conferences where she will have input in those
meetings.

Miss Kelly reflects on her lessons and comes up with ways to improve for the next time. If, while teaching
a lesson that isnt working or flowing as expected, Miss Kelly will adjust it to improve student learning
instantly.

3 The classroom is safe and students have equal access to learning activites. The teacher ensures taht the furniture
arrangement is appropriate to the learning activities and uses physical resources, including computer technology,
effectively.

Miss Kelly utilizes flexible sitting in the classroom. When needed the furniture can be moved to
accommodate the learning situation. The main setup is safe and everything in the room is easily
accessible. The students keep their ipads in their seat sack so they have easy access.

During Miss Kelly's math lesson today, she used enVisions on the Promethean Board. Students used their
iPads in one Center for IXL and/or Edmentum.

Other comments

This is my final evaluation on Mary Kelly. She has proven to be a wonderful asset to our school, staff, and
her students. She will be missed.
