Air disinfection & surface sterilization in Operating Room
OR (Operating Room) UVC sterilization is a specifically developed sterilization solution. Ensuring a sterile
environment is very important for preventing complications during organ transplantation or open joint
surgical procedures. Achieving and maintaining a sterile environment in operating rooms is crucial for
patients with weak immune systems due to cancer or AIDS. Operating room UVC sterilization package
compiles all implementations of the germicidal UV technology to ensure the required clean environment.
Operating Room UVC sterilization is achieved with two distinctive, although overlapping processes. First,
before the operating room is occupied by people, it is entirely irradiated with direct UVC fixtures that
sterilize all surfaces exposed to the UV rays. These fixtures must be turned off or turned down before
personnel or patients enter the operating room. Second, the air of the operating room is irradiated with
indirect germicidal fixtures to ensure sterile environment and stop the transfer of pathogenic or toxic
microorganisms through air. The indirect fixtures stay on all the time. They either enclose the UV lamps or
are equipped with louvers that direct the UV light to areas above eye level.

Complete UV Package for Operating Room
A sample layout of the direct SM-36-200 UV fixtures shown below.
The TB-36-W systems are wall mounted and stay at full power at all times during procedure for
upper air disinfection.
The DB-36 system is installed above the door to create a UV curtain for air disinfection. The DB
systems also stay at full power during operation procedures. More than one DB UV fixtures may be
required depending on the width of the door.
The SM-36-200, are direct germicidal UV systems installed in various patterns on the ceiling above
the operating table. The UV intensity of these fixtures is controlled by a variable transformer to
avoid over-exposure during surgery.

HANDHELD UV SURFACE STERILIZER
The AAW Handheld UV wand is a portable direct germicidal UV
system for surface disinfection. It can help control the growth of
germs such as viruses, bacteria, mold and mold spores and reduce
spreading of infections. AAW Handheld UV wand is a portable
system for applications where a permanent UVC installation is not
desired or needed. The UV system can help reduce or eliminate
microbial contamination in spaces that do not need constant
exposure to UVC light. Common environments include laboratories,
hospitals and food plants. The High Output UV lamp emits high
intensity UV so the system should be positioned in a way to avoid
exposing people to direct or reflected UV light.

AAW-TBE-14-1 UV PORTABLE OR WALL MOUNTED UV SYSTEM:

UVGI HOSPITAL- UPPER ROOM AIR UV STERILIZERS
WALL MOUNT TB-W PASSIVE MODELS:
Models TB-W are designed to be wall-mounted to reduce upper air
contamination. TB-W fixtures feature adjustable louvers to allow
unlimited direction of the ultraviolet rays while protecting personnel
and providing maximum germicidal irradiation. The units are The TB in-room fixtures control

use of wall-mounted indirect fixtures. Constructed of high grade

CORNER MOUNT CM15 UV AIR CLEANER:
Designed to mount in room corners with two keyhole slots at a
height of seven feet (7’), these attractive indirect UV air cleaners

feet. The Corner Mount UV air cleaner’s optional equipment
includes an eight-foot power cord and an on/off switch.
The high intensity UV lamp is installed with reflectors for equal
distribution of the germicidal UV irradiation. The louver restricts and
concentrates the ultraviolet rays above eye level so personnel can
occupy the room while the air cleaners are operating.
DOOR BARRIERS GERMICIDAL FIXTURES:
DB-36 UV air cleaner is fabricated of heavy gauge electro-welded
steel with white enamel finishing. By creating a curtain of germicidal
ultraviolet rays, this UV air cleaner provides effective control of
