Introduction
RE 112 Integration Proclamation of the Good News is one of our requirements in
this subject. We are task to proclaim and teach children about the good works and
deeds of God. We are assigned at GKK San Jose Calumpang where there are almost
20 children who participate with guidance of their Church officers we are able to
successfully teach them. Our objectives in this integration was to teach children good
things and let them know God more. The topic during the session is the God's Creation
of the world specifically each day of creation. We discussed and give some activity that
are related to the topic for them to fully understand and absorb the lesson.
This Religion Integration aims to increase the awareness about the connection of
god and the creation of the world and also to reflect the stories in the bible as
aforementioned among the student that participating in this activity will teach a bible
story entitled the “Creation Story” towards the children of the correspondent community
so that they may carry it on and be enlighten towards this magnificent Gods work
creation and also it advocates them to care about this world and not to throw garbage
mindlessly.
Rationale
Religious Education is an academic and systematic subject, in so far as it is
legitimate discipline taught in the school and is ordered toward a broader school setting
and it is serving the goal of Catechesis, that is, "to bring people not only in touch but in
communion, in intimacy with the person of Jesus Christ".
The thrust of NDDU is making Religious Education as the Core of the Curriculum.
Essentially, it means the bringing about integration of Faith and Life, the synthesis of
Faith and culture.
In the hope to make Religious Education as a potent means of evangelization to
the young people of today and to strengthen the thrust of NDDU, R.E. needs to provide
our students with more opportunities to supplement their learning experience in the
classroom- opportunities for practical application of their study in actual life in the
context of a Christian Integration. This program will engage students in an actual
integration of the Gospel q message and Life praxis and develop them as evangelizers
in the Church. To quote Art. 659 of the Second Plenary Council of the Philippines, "the
greatest resource of the Church for evangelization are the young people of the
Philippines".

This photo was taken after the activity
and it is evident that we left behind
them something to remember ,it is
God’s teaching and miracles and by
this activity not only we gave them
smiles on their faces also we gave
them hope, hope into the unknown and
challenges they faced everyday in their
lives in that colorful community of San
Jose GKK Calumpang.
                                          These are some of the
                                          volunteers who did their job
                                          gratefully. They do believe that
                                          younger generation needed to
be taught of God’s image and
                                          teachings. The only thing we
believed is doing what is right
                                          and not what is easy.
REFLECTION
 PAPERS
Jianne M. Emboltorio BSE-ENGL 1
I thoroughly enjoy the RE integration and it is an honour to be part of those
activity. We teach the children about the seven days of creation and God’s creation of
the earth that we found in Genesis chapters one and two. We show pictures specifically
the days of creation list for example day one light, day two atmosphere, day three dry
ground and plants, day four sun, moon and stars, day five birds and sea and animals,
day six land and humans, day seven is the Sabbath of rest. I enjoy teaching and talking
to children it was fun and memorable experience. Even just in a simple way we help
them to recognize God.
The thing I like the most during that activity is that I love interacting with them, I
love learning from them, I love helping them to understand and explain the instruction
that needed to be follow. It was fun while it lasted. Personally, I’m very grateful to have
the opportunity to experience those things.
Axl Rose G. Pasaporte BSE – ENGL 1
On the day of the integration, I saw in the faces of the students that they are
happy. I saw that they are enjoying what we are doing and they learn something about
what we have discussed. Sharing our knowledge about God to those children was one
of the greatest thing we have done. I know those children will remember those learnings
because we conducted it joyfully, with so much activities and the children are really
enjoying it. Having that kind of activity is a fulfillment for us and for those children
because in our part, we share something good that are worth remembering and for the
children, they learn a part that they should not forget.
Sharing something to those children that will help them know God more is a great
achievement. Even though we are having a hard time, because of the activity, as we
saw the faces of those children who are eager to know God, it’s like, all of our tired
faces vanished. The said activity really helps us to grow and it also mold us to become
a better teacher and will help us when we become teachers in the near future someday
on how to handle students and how to teach them in a proper way that they can learn.

I just quite learn some good things while engaging this activity entitled “Religion
Integration” which we teach some children in the GKK Church about some moral story
in the bible to achieve the goal that we will implant the message given on that story to
carry on until they are adults and this is also adding of my own experience and little
adventure of helping our community to do some Good deeds in this world. This event
helps me to interact more in my own classmates by doing the same task and common
goal to plant knowledge to the children I also learn to be flexible enough to be obedient
and follow the things that my group mates ask me to do it. Also I was having a sense of
accomplishment and fulfillment that contributes of wellbeing of mine as a mere
presence of myself I can make the children happy in a moral support way. As time goes
by we finish it on much more early than the others because of the communication and
cooperation of our group and also the organizational ability that was being presented by
our leader so it’s really Good outcome to see. In this integration I realize that this is also
a way to help the community little by little to the world also and also it helps the students
to be more proactive in doing some activities and to give thought of morality and
discipline of doing things that given to him and it also help the student to be more
friendly and cooperative enough to make this easier.
Steffy Mae Lopez BSE-ENGL 1
As we did our RE Integration, it was fun and enjoy. We planned it very well from
the topics to be presented down to their snacks. Nemia and kyle also donated some
food to the children. It was also good that we did this Integration, because we had
chance to bond and talk more with our classmates. Also it's good to teach children
some wisdom and words of God that may help them to do some Good deeds and give
more time in God in praying and worshipping. As we witnessed the smiles and
eagerness of the children to learn more about God makes me and my classmates to do
and help them more. We also had an activity wherein the children can cooperate and
enjoy like coloring, singing of God's song and answering some question that was given
by the leader in front. You can really see from the actions of the children that they loved
what we are doing. Also the GKK officers are very kind and very humble. They really
welcomed us in their community.
We love to go back there and teach them again. Also we learned that it's very
important to share what you have learned in other people so that they will be
enlightened and more open about God's presence. Help them to worship and pray more
to God so that they will not lead into a wrong way.
Mary Tishri Lim BSE- ENGL 1
Looking back during our RE 112 Integration, I had some reflection and
realizations. First, I realized that I am still not that familiar to the works and deeds of
God therefore I must work for it and to know God little by little. Knowing God would be a
great help for me towards living this life. Knowing God will help me keep m track on the
rights side that I may be lost in some time but I can be back again.
Second, it is very important for a child to know God from the very beginning of
their lives. Starting a life with God would help them to continually live with Him. It is very
important for them to be guided as early as possible. If they are used to it then they will
continue doing it. I glad that there are still children who would be interested in knowing
God considering their generation at this moment which they need more of God.
Lastly, it is a tiring yet a very fulfilling day. Sharing the word and deeds of God is worth
doing for. Future generation is the hope of our nation therefore we must educate them
not just academically most important is spiritually. Even though we have different
religion at the end of the day we have the same and one goal and that it to honor God
for everything He has done for us.

As part of our project we conducted RE112 Integration activity for children who
are living in GKK San Jose, Barangay Calumpang, General Santos City. Through this
activity we are able to help children to know more about Jesus.
The said activity is one of the most unforgettable moments of our lives since we
are able to help and teach children about the creation of Jesus which will help them
understand what Jesus has done for us. We were able to help and made the children
feel that we as the students of Notre Dame of Dadiangas University care for them.
Seeing the smiles of the children during the activity made us smile as well, seeing them
happy, also made us happy because it means that we have reached our goal. It was
overwhelming that in our very own simple ways we are able to make them smile, the
laughter we shared would always remain in our mind and of course in our hearts.
Sharing our knowledge to the children is very fulfilling because we knew that it will help
them and they will keep it mind.
The Integration activity made me realize that with our own simple ways we can
bring happiness to others and make a meaningful experience by doing good deeds.
Spending time with the children was such a great feeling especially when we made
them smile, laugh and play with us which made the activity memorable and valuable.
Having the opportunity to interact with students gave me a life lesson and that is
contentment, even though they don’t have much like others do they are contented with
what they have. And the activity was a success and worth-doing, I am hoping that we
can still do it again.

The activity we conducted in RE 112 is for the children who are not in
ranged when it comes to religious teaching ,so that is why we the students of Notre
Dame of Dadiangas University happened to conduct an integration activity where we set
journey to areas such as GKK San Jose Calumpang. In this said activity we had our fill
of duty indeed every single one of the student whom are present in that day had their
specific task.
The lessons we gave to the children as the lesson of the “ Creation Of the
Universe” and in this lesson we discussed every single day of how things are created by
God. This activity is one of a kind to experience because not all the time we are given
the privileged to learn about God’s miracles and spread them into younger generation.
It made me realize that in some point in our lives we could influence
person not by what we appeared to be, but the smiles we give them and to me it was
like a virus that keeps on spreading even in the children in that chapel. I am happy to be
a part of this activity and I enjoy interacting to my comrades.

RE Integration has, for more than a year, been practiced by the current institution I am
in. it has been aiming to reunite humanitarian services by the most simple way this
institution has thought of. Community extension is one of the very least ways the
institution had in mind, and in order for it to be successful, it has been one of the major
requirement for a student undertaking any religious education. With the community
extension I had experienced, I have been much enlightened that the works of Jesus can
be fully done if we only choose to. As a steward of Christ, it is one of the things we need
to do, to take care of His creation. I have fully seen the chances that can be wasted if
matters where not taken seriously when it comes to the needs children has to have to
grow into a better person. What I mean with this is their knowledge about Jesus and His
miracles. It is within human decision whether or not they will impart to these children the
knowledge they need to have in terms of morality and immorality. As a human being
and as one of the stewards of God, I have realized that in our most simple ways, we can
be able to fulfill this task by simply doing what we ought to do, as designed by God. We
can therefore not blame the children for whatever they might become someday because
the influences we provide them shapes them as they grow. Meaning, whatever they
may become in the future mainly relies on how we get to raise and guide these children.
Let us be more mindful of what they can become tomorrow as we deal with them today,
because as Filipinos, we believe what our hero Jose Rizal believed, and that is “the
youth is the hope of our tomorrows”.

Integrity is the Heart of the Matter: At the heart of genuine holiness is the virtue of
integrity, a virtue rich in nuances and meaning. Integrity means being a person with only
one face, a person who is the same on the inside and the outside: “what you see is
what you get.” Indeed, integrity is foundational for holiness, because it constitutes the
very essence of personal honesty and sincerity, which are fundamental to the moral life
and the seedbeds for a host of other virtues. In our pursuit of holiness, we should never
tolerate duplicity of any kind in our behavior. We should avoid like the plague the least
hint of ambivalence in our motivations, or incongruity between our thoughts, judgments,
choices, and actions. There can be no holiness without integrity. In fact, there can be no
genuine human happiness unless it lies on the bedrock virtue of integrity. Each and
every one of us grew up to look on someone we admire, someone who we think are
incredible and great. During the integration all of us were encouraged to do the tasks
with honesty and love and stand as an inspiration to do good in kids.In our integration
we are given a chance to socialize with other people especially to teach children in a
religious aspect. During the integration we taught them about the creation in order for
them to be not confused of how we are made. We also taught them about doing good,
love and show care to others especially to their parents like how God love us. This
allowed them to have fear and respect God and also to other people especially to their
parents. And this uplift them regarding of His place on our existence
