A young boy enters a forest he knows well, but finds it has changed - the trees are withering and evil, and an eerie silence fills the air. As he explores, he is attacked by the trees and falls down an unseen pit. At the bottom is pure darkness. He eventually sees a light and runs toward it, but a mysterious figure chases him. He finds temporary refuge in a room, but then hears the voice again. His world collapses as he realizes the true horror of his situation. Who or what started this, and what will become of the boy? In the end, no one knows the answers.

Darkness Surrounds…

One day, deep in a wood - a wood that was not so scary - a young boy cautiously
entered the wood he knew and loved. When suddenly, it all started to change. An eerie,
silent and plain forest, soon to be his worst nightmare. The silence haunted through
every shadow and every bend, it was coming…
The old, withering, scaling trees stared at any unwanted guests. The dead grass
was as bad as the trees, old and evil. What does this mean? Who could this be? They
would be forever haunted. The staring trees wrapped their wooden arms around him
and threw him across the forest. He landed heavily on his arm. He was in a lot of pain,
yet he knew it wasn’t time to give up. He thought to himself, he will be remembered for
finding out this (mysterious) mystery.
The young, eager boy ventured through this silent forest. He suddenly realised,
this path is a dead-end; he turned back. He could not go back. He was pushed by a
mysterious man, and he fell down a pit that he did not notice was there, because it was
never there. How does this man know so much more than the boy knew? How is this
possible? When he remembered a man he knew a few years ago, he was the founder of
the forest, he knew who this man was. When he was going to confront him and ask why
he was doing this. He fell and fell and fell, down the pit. He kept falling until he hit the
spot of pure darkness, defeat and despair. Then, a whisper swam through his ear and
made him realise: he is not meant to be here… what had happened to the bright side of
his life adventuring through this forest every weekend, how could it have changed so
much within a week? This was not normal.
The boy feared a nightmare had taken his world over, and everything in it. Who
was this, what was this. Why are they doing this to him. Why him in particular? What
had he done?
He eventually saw the end of this not-so-bottomless pit. he landed on all fours
and spotted a light in the distance; the boy trembled as he did not make it to the light -
the light made it to him. He was blinded by the bright light that surrounded him.
Suddenly a mysterious figure crept up behind him and he ran. He ended up where he
was before. He then noticed a door from the corner of his eye. He ran towards it.
Inside, it was like a haven. He was relieved. Then that same voice was following him
again. Why?
His world collapsed when he realised…
What do you think he saw? What do you think will happen to him? What do you
think started this all?
Who knows? No-one knows.
