I. TARGET/OBJECTIVE
Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of media and information literacy
(MIL) and MIL related concepts.
Performance Standard: The learner organizes a creative and interactive symposium for the
community focusing on being a media and information literate individual.
Learning Competency:
The learner…
1. Defines information needs, locates, accesses, assesses, organizes, and communicates
information(MIL11/12IL-IIIc-8).
2. Demonstrates ethical use of information (MIL11/12IL-IIIc-9).
II. SUBJECT MATTER
A. Topic: Information Literacy
B. Materials: Chalk board, chalk, slide deck.
III. PROCEDURE:
A. Preliminaries
1. Greetings
2. Checking of attendance
3. Presentation of learning competency.
4. Review the related previous topics that had been discussed last meeting.
5. Motivation
How are you going to assess and evaluate information?!
Where are you going to access information that you will be needed in your
activity?
B. Lesson Proper:
1. Activity (Pair)
2. Analysis
Ask them, how they answered the table without questions being asked.
3. Abstraction
Present the slide deck to the class for the further discussion.
4. Application (GROUP ACTIVITY)
Group the class with 4 members each and ask them to complete the table
presented to the class.
5. Evaluation (GROUP ACTIVITY)
Ask them to make a mini research.

BINGO GAME: ask the students to draw a 6x6 grid on a piece of paper then select 6 words or
images from the given list to draw/write in their grid. The teacher will
randomly select a word from the list to describe, and students must guess the
word in order to cross it off on their grid (if present). Continue describing
different words until one students successfully completes their grid and
shouts “BINGO!”. (The teacher can award the prize to the first student who
gets 3 in a row).
