We are an organization with a difference! We value individualism,


creativity and innovation and strive to nurture them in our students
and team.
Our motto “Sustain to Prevail” is at the heart of everything we do at ALS.
We aim not to just impart knowledge to the students, but also to

Academic Planning

Lesson Planning: Quali ed and professionally trained teachers develop schemes of studies and
lesson plans which are regularly delivered in classrooms. Special attention is paid to individual
differences of the learners while planning academic activities. This makes the teaching learning
process more effective.
Science Laboratories: Knowing the signi cance of practical experience, well equipped labs for all
science subjects are available in almost all schools.
Computer Education: Integration of computer technology in education is the need of the time. At
American Lycetuff computer education has been made an integral part of the school curriculum.
Priority is given to clear fundamental concepts with theoretical knowledge and practical
experience using latest techniques. Fully equipped computer Labs are available for the students.
Libraries: To inculcate the reading habits, well stocked libraries of selective books which are
maintained in every American Lycetuff School, where students and staff are encouraged to visit and
explore new horizons of knowledge.

Quality Assurance
Research and Development Cell: The management of American Lycetuff is conscious of ever
increasing new challenges in the field of education. To meet such challenges there is a R & D
cell at work, monitoring and exploring the new ideas for the holistic development of pupils.
Syllabi and courses are constantly reviewed and updated.
Teacher Training: For professional development of teachers, training workshops are
organized regularly to equip them with the latest and innovative teaching strategies as they
are the one to help in laying better foundation for a stronger nation.

Student Assessments: In order to check the progress of the students studies, assessments
are made regularly . A progress report is generated to ascertain the students’ position in
the class as well as for the information of the parents.

Retention Policy: Considering the performance and progress of the student , if


recommended by the Class Teacher or Principal, student can be retained at the end of the
academic year in the same class. Parents may consult the class teacher in this regard.

Procedures
The academic year is divided into four quarters (two terms). New session for PG, KG1. and
KGII starts in August and January every year.
Application form for admission is attached with the prospectus, please fill in the required
information and submit it to the school administrator along with the following:

Ÿ Registration Fee (Non Refundable)


Ÿ Three recent Passport size photographs
Ÿ Report card of the previous school, where applicable

The parents/guardian of the student shall be informed regarding the date of admission test,
the placement of students shall be made according to the result of the admission test.
Student(s) are only allowed to sit in the class once all the dues (non refundable) of the school
are paid.

Admission Test
Students entering PG, KG-I and KG-II shall be tested for their English proficiency, aptitude
and maturity.

Class Age:
Ÿ Play Group 3 Years
Ÿ KG-I 4 Years
Ÿ KG-II 5 Years

Students entering grades I to X & 'O' level are tested for grade placement. Priority is given on
first come first serve basis and admission test results. In order to best fit in our school system
final admission and grade placement is determined by the Principal, regardless of previous
school grade placement. Students entering PG shall be observed in their activities.

Instructions for the Parents
American Lycetuff is known for its strict discipline and high standards which cannot be
maintained without Parents cooperation.
Punctuality: To be on time is the first step towards learning discipline. Strict adherence is
demanded. The habitual late comers are not allowed to go out during activity period.
Students are not allowed neither to enter the school premises before 7:15 am in Summers
and 7:45 am in Winters nor they are allowed to stay in the school for more than 15 minutes
after the school time.
Attendance: A minimum of 80% attendance is a must for annual promotion. So students
absence from the school is discouraged, however in extreme circumstances parents must
submit to the school administrator an application alongwith a medical certificate. School
management is not responsible for completion of Notes or Photocopies of Notes for the
absentees.

Uniform & Hygiene: Students must wear neat and clean uniform as prescribed by the
school management, Parents must take care of the students hygiene like haircut and must
be lice free, cutting of the nails etc and shoes must be polished. Every Tuesday is observed as
a hygiene day.
Presentation of Note Books: It is strictly desirous of the parents that student must
maintain their note books in order and present their classwork as well as homework in
relevant subject note books in proper handwriting and in a tidy manner.
Each assessment for punctuality, attendance, proper uniform, hygiene, hair cut, hair lice,
signing of diary/ report / copy by the Parents, home work preparation, spoken English and
handwriting carries special marks.

Student's Behavior: Teacher uses different ways to modify student's behavior. They are
taught to follow classroom and playground rules. Corporal punishment is discouraged. In
case a student is not observing the rules and regulations of the school and is showing
negative behavior towards discipline, the matter is brought to the knowledge of the
Principal and Parents/guardian are notified for a resolution. Extreme negative behavior
results in dismissal from the school.
Promotion to Next Class: Promotion to next class is based on annual consolidation of
achieving minimum 80% attendance in each term and not missing any assessment. Re-
evaluation of papers is not permitted once concluded. Sick students are not allowed to
appear in the exams.
Double Promotion: Student will be evaluated and promoted on the basis of particular
Class Standard Syllabus Level and prior permission of the Principal.
Double promotion Fee of Rs. 20,000/- per student (non refundable ) to be deposited before
taking any test.

Inter Branch Transfer Facility:
Student can avail inter branch transfer facility by first obtaining permission from the
present branch administration and then depositing Rs. 2000/- (non refundable) being the
transfer charges to the branch the student is being transferred to.
Withdrawal: Parents/guardian must either give one month's notice or deposit one month
school fee before initiating withdrawal of their child(ren). After clearance of the withdrawal
form, a school leaving certificate and security amount can be collected from the school
administration.
Tuition Fee: Tuition Fee is to be paid by the 10th of every month in the designated Bank,
after that Rs. 50/- per day late fee fine will be charged till 15th and after that student will not
be allowed to sit in the classroom. After 20th student's name will be struck off automatically.
Monthly Tuition Fee is decided by the school management and may be increased by 10%
annually.

How Can Parents Help
Parents/Guardian are the child's first teachers and child's behavior in school is often
modeled on what he or she sees at home. I if expectations of child's behavior at home
matches with the expectations of behavior at school, the child is bound to get off to a better
start. Admiration is the most meaningful, effective and positive recognition you can give to
your child. You are making a powerful statement by saying 'I care about you, I noticed the
good work you are doing and I am proud of you.' Your recognition boosts the morale of your
child and give him/her the courage to learn more effectively.

Our highly developed I.T department carries the latest
state of the art, computers and software programs for
teaching at every level.
The cooputer department has a highly educated faculty,
headed by an I.T professional and aided by a dedicated
