  Problem 7.3:
  The stand-alone dedicated control channel (SDCCH) uses four time slots per each 51-
  control multiframe shown in figure 7.14 .Use the super frame timing to determine the
  effective data rate of the logical channel.
  Solution:
From figure 7.14
 GSM frame either comprises of 26 traffic channel frame or 51 control frames.
 SDDCH (stand-alone dedicated control channel) is two way channel; it uses four time slots per
each 51 control multiframe
As we know that GSM multiframe of 51 control frames takes 235.4 ms with 8 time slots or bursts
per frame, so for four slots it takes 117.7 ms
Effective Data Rate of this logical channel is given by:
        = 114 bits (information bits)/117.7 ms * 2(double than the traffic channel)
        = 0.969 *2 kbps
        = 1.938 kbps

Also this is given in book that the physical channel for SDCCH occupies four slots in every 51 control
multi frames with an approximated gross data rate of 2 kbps per terminal.
