MODULE 1 on PFA: Validating and Normalizing Feelings
My Dear Friend,
During the months of lockdown, there are five routines that I did at home
such as:
1. doing household chores,
2. making pots
3. sleeping every afternoon,
4. watching YouTube videos
5. caring my nephew.
These are the five routines that I’ve been doing all day since I don’t have
any other choice but to finished it all. I know that it is very dangerous to go outside
so I preferred to stay at home. I always pray for your safety specially to your
family. Its hard for me not to see you just like what we did before. I really miss
you and I’ll hope to see you as soon as possible.
I’m so sad because a lot of people was suffering because of corona virus.
They don’t have a food to eat and some employee lost their jobs. In this situation I
realized that I need to be stronger because my family and other people need me.
Let us make our faith be bigger than our fear because God is always there to heal
the world.

ANALYSIS
The common feeling to the usual routines of my everyday life was being
a strong person not only for myself but also to the other people. I want to show to
everyone that being a strong person will be one of the best keys in order to help
other people to fight and do not lose hope because God will provide everything.
There are also some people in our town who is affected of corona virus I
will just pray for their fast recoveries and pray for everyone’s safety. I also wish
that those people who are not listening to our government must be punished
because there’s a lot of people specially the front liners who was suffering for the
sake of all people.
I know that this is a normal feeling to this very stressful situation and
what we can do was to listen to our government, trust God and be a responsible
Filipino citizen. I love you so much my friend hope to see you soon.

APPLICATION
At first, I felt nervous because of my reactions but after realizing that this
is all normal reactions, I breathed a sigh of relief. It makes me realize that I am not
alone because a lot of people also experiencing what I have experienced. This is
not just a simple thing because all the reactions were because of Covid-19 which
affects all the people including children and adults. It helps me to know that having
a normal reaction was alright, but we must have our limitations so that we can
avoid a lot of bad things.
I can apply this learning to my life especially after experiencing such a
pandemic by adopting what I have learned in order to be stronger do not lose hope.
This learning will help me to stay positive and make things possible in life. I will
also use this learning to help other people in order to have a great future.
I therefore conclude that my feelings and reactions are valid and normal
because this is what my heart and mind said. At first, I don’t know how to handle
my feelings and reaction. I thought that I am so overreacting, but I’ve realized that
these reactions will not be the reason to stop believing. All of us must believed that
these are all normal feeling and reactions as long as we all knew our limitations.

MODULE 2 on PFA: Calming Down and Managing one’s Emotions and Thoughts
ANALYSIS
I feel happy because catching, checking and changing my
feelings helps to be a better person specially in the future. I know that it
is normal to have different feeling in different situations, but we also
need to think if those feelings were helpful to us so that we can change it
into a productive and useful feeling.
I had to reframe my thoughts so that I can change my
unproductive and useless feelings into gratefulness, understanding
happiness and contentment which will lead to have a great and better
future.
ABSTRACTION

I feel disappointed I feel grateful
I feel sad I feel happy
I feel angry I feel blessed
I feel worthless I feel contentment
APPLICATION
After going through the activity, I learned that the feelings that I caught
could be very useful because these feelings will lead as a steppingstone for me to
achieve my dreams ang to have a better future.
After a while, I checked the feelings and realized that I could changed
some of my feelings into a productive and useful feelings so that these feelings
could be helpful not only for myself but also for other people.
And so, I changed my feelings into the following: Feeling disappointed
changed to feeling grateful, feeling sad to feeling happy, feeling angry to feeling
blessed and lastly feeling worthless to feeling contentment.
CLOSURE
I therefore conclude that it is okay to catch our feelings, but we must
check these feelings if it is useful or not so that we can changed it into a productive
and useful feelings which will help us to live peacefully.
Having a productive and useful feeling was very important to all of us
because these feelings will be an instrument to be a better person. We are not
living not only for ourselves but also for other people so we must be friendly and
be a good citizen so that the world will be a safe place to live.

ANALYSIS
I think the reason why we need to learn about whom we can go for our own needs
and specially for the needs of our family was for emergency purposes. In case of
emergency we already know where to ask for help.
For me, it is very important to learn about whom I can go for the needs of
everyone so that if there’s an emergency I know where to go and to ask for help because
not all people around can provide what we need.
ABSTRACTION
Sometimes other military groups had a hard time because of lack of equipment so
the government must also prioritize this group so that we can make our country more
peaceful.
When I experienced a motor accident, I am so thankful because a lot of police of
Mangaldan helped me. At that time, I thought that I will die but because of them I
survived.

For me God is my strength because no matter what happen he is always there to
guide me that’s why I want to be Godly because in God there is no impossible. I can say
that my family is also one of my strength because they are one of the reasons why I am
still fighting even though its hard to live specially in this situation. I am also thankful that
my friends and enemies are always there to give me strength. My friends always make
me happy and I also loved my enemies because they are also my inspiration to reach all
my dreams because I want to prove to them that I will become a successful person
someday.
ANALYSIS
After drawing a kite, I realized that the quote “No man is an island” was true
because we can’t live without other people. All of us need each other in order to be
successful. Without them we are nothing, so we need to have unity, teamwork and
cooperation to make the world more peaceful to live.
ABSTRACTION
Like kite KITE I also have my strengths which is God, Family,
Friends and Enemies. I considered them as my strength
because they are my inspiration and they are the ones who keeps on motivating me
to pursue my dreams no matter what happen. Without them I am nothing, so I need
to fly high and do my best in order to achieve my dreams.
