INTRODUCTION
Consuming food three or more times a day is necessary for the basic survival of human
beings. In the Philippine Culture, people are used to eat snacks during daytime or even in
midnight. Snacks are also part of bonding, relaxation and energizer for every people. And this
research will introduce empanada as snack to fulfill every stomach of the people in San Pablo.
But how did the researchers come up choosing empanada as best snack to establish in San
Pablo? What uniqueness it has that fits in the market?
Empanadas are some of those traditional bread snacks that you can have access to
anytime and in any place in the city. Empanada making is claimed to be an art mastered by
those with delicate hands, and an unwavering patience. (Pat Cadsawan, 2018). Every household
has its own way of making empanada. Each has its own preferred filling as well as desired sort
of dough. .
The Filipino empanada is a quintessential merienda (mid-day snack) consisting of a flaky
crust traditionally filled with ground beef sautéed with onions, peas, raisins and potatoes.
Ironically, empanadas can be found in kitchens all over the world- so many cultures have their
own version. (Acosta, 2014) Among the most commonly known Filipino empanadas are pork
empanada, beef empanada and chicken empanada. Furthermore, empanadas may be fried or
baked depending on one’s preference. Empanadas are a wonderful way to use seasonal
vegetables and fruits and any other flavor but fewer calories, fat, and more nutrition with
healthier versions.
Nowadays people were unconsciously choosing an artificially made food product that
has a less healthy nutritional content over the conventional foods that is said to be “good for
our health” that is available in the market. Promoting a healthy and convenient way of eating
by introducing varieties of Veggie Breads to the public consumers would also benefit not just
the consumers with the its health nutrition content it have but also helps the Filipino farming
industries in the country as well. A healthier variety of empanada is what we are in cognizance.
We would like to linger the interest of the buyers and also the consumer with our version of
empanada. This study will provide satisfaction to the people in San Pablo City by making
different variety flavors of empanada.
The researchers concluded that establishing a restaurant that could provide healthy and
luscious empanada in San Pablo, Laguna is a great opportunity since the product offered is
unique and no other business are offering the same product in which could result for good
income. The target market of the business is the community of San Pablo, Laguna as well as the
students and workers near the location.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The central problem of the study is the evaluation of the viability of establishing an
Empanada Restaurant in San Pablo City, Laguna.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
The main objective of the study is to determine the feasibility of establishing an
Empanada Restaurant in San Pablo City.
Marketing
1. To describe the nature of the product.

1. To determine the production flow of creation of products

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS
The feasibility study primarily focuses on the study of the viability of establishing
Empanada restaurant in San Pablo City, Laguna.
The study will take place in San Pablo among residents and people working in the city.
The data used in the study were gathered from the result of survey questionnaire conducted in
the target location for the month of_________2020.
The proposed business focuses on providing healthy snacks with variety of fillings of
Filipino delicacies. The financial projections are based on historical data. The financial
statements are projected only up to five years from the start of the business.
The limitations of the study will vary on the weaknesses that might occur in the business
such as spoilage of products, allergic reaction to some customers and also being new in the
market could affect the profitability on the first year of the operation.
