Thank you so much for the opportunity to join your class this fall as your PS1 student. I look forward to
meeting you and your class and cannot wait to be back in the classroom!

I am in my third year of schooling at the University pursuing Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of
Education degrees. My three streams of science include physical geography, biology and psychology. I
have enjoyed my time at the university and am excited to get into the classroom so that I may learn
from you and your students. When I am not in school I enjoy being outdoors and exploring. Some of my
interests include hunting, fishing, hiking and camping with friends and family.

Becoming a teacher has been a goal of mine for many years and I am excited to be close to making this
dream a reality. With experience working in the school system as an ELA/SLA for nearly seven years,
being back in the classrooms will be like coming home. The look in children’s eyes when they achieve
their goals and their continued love for learning sparked in me a passion that I knew I had to pursue. I
truly believe that it takes a whole school community to help shape children and I am excited to be a part
of your school community and learn about its dynamics.

I love reading to kids and often find myself enthusiastically involved in stories while keeping the children
engaged as well. Literacy has become one of my favourite topics. Whether it is one-on-one or in small
groups, helping children become the best learners they can is something for which I always strive.
Teaching children the skills they need to be successful is the most rewarding job there is! I am looking
forward to learning from you and soaking up all that I can from this experience.
