The Coronavirus as a Challenge for Global Governance
As the virus spread widely around the globe it's very alarming and could
bring unexpectedly scenarios to every people especially to me cause
every transmission of virus it can affect everyone. As a matter of fact
we have now 37 million + cases of COVID - 19, 1 million + deaths, and
27 million + recovered, at all times we need to be vigilant on
surroundings like for example when you're the who will buy some foods
for your family. For the reason that you can avoid danger in the outside,
in order to reduce the spreading of vicious virus and you're allowed to
wear mask, face shield, and most importantly bring alcohol at all times.
Coronavirus could lead to the loss of millions of lives and global
economic disaster.
The challenges of Global governance amidst the COVID - 19 pandemic
has really brought them to a serious matter and as one of the leaders
he could provide a better tactics or plan to fight the emerging COVID -
19 outbreak. It should not be ignored it of every leader what we have
right now, they have the ability to implement some restrictions and
limit the action of every person as it should to eliminate the COVID - 19.
And also, it includes the global public health of the people's country to
monitor the rapidness increasing of health system, it's very essential to
know the symptoms of COVID - 19 to maintain and isolate the
suspected person before they consider positive on novel coronavirus.
One of the organization that fought for coronavirus is the WHO (world
health organization) who are willing to sacrifice their lives to find the
vaccine that will cut the longness of COVID - 19, they accepted it for a
ginormous challenge for them because of the fact that it killer a more
than 1 million people around the globe. They did a lot of things in order
to disseminate the correct information on how to fight the virus along
the lines of teaching them on how to wash your hands properly and so
on and so forth. Moreover, as a challenge for global governance I've
seen some weaknesses of our governments and their existing ways of
organizing our societies are transparently exposed.
According to the internet, Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an
infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most
people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate
symptoms and recover without special treatment. It starts off in one
country until it affects the whole world. Coronavirus (Co-vid19) is no
joke.
The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets
generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. These
droplets are too heavy to hang in the air, and quickly fall on floors or
surfaces.
You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close
proximity of someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a
contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth. As we can
see, the whole world was affected by the said virus.It literally crushed
the big events that will happen this year. Many healthworkers are
having a hard time in monitoring the patients and exhausted in this
situations. As each day passes by,the more active cases are visible in
the whole world. There are over 37.1 million active cases in the world
that needs immediate plan and attention.
My realization on the video i watched is that Coronavirus was not easy
to handle. Since this virus can be transmitted through droplets so this
virus cannot be handled properly. As we can see, governments from
around the world are having a hard time in solving what's next or
what's who. The government people itself have the virus and we can't
control it. One thing i observed is that they don't know what to do and
that they don't have enough plans for this outbreak. They only rely on
vaccines being delivered in other countries not knowing what will be
the plans are. But there are some plans that worked but not long time.
For example, is that they update the people how many active cases in
the world since it is the right of the people to know how many are
infected already. Next is they have their safety precautions per country.
They limit people to go out and that they have healthworkers checking
in some places to ensure the safety of those who don't carry the virus.
Some country i believe have donations of basic needs like food. Since
people can't go out, government plans on giving citizens basic needs
but it didn’t last because of lacking funds of the government. It is really
a challenge in the Global Governance since it is a pandemic situation.
As the interviewee said it really affects the economic status of each
countries since all establishments are closed in this kind of situations
but i realized that in the end, we should have cooperation and unity in
this kind of situation since we ourselves are the one who will help each
other in the end.
