Syllabus #2
November 2 – November 13

1. Office Project – must be completed, logged by 3:00 on November 13


 Complete a “real” job for someone that utilizes your computer/office skills (not just stapling or
photocopying)
o Each student must do one job.
o Project must be approved by instructor.
o Work orders must be complete and the Google form completed by deadline.

2. Soft Skills Packets – due November 2/3


 Files are located on www.bonitaklein.weebly.com , Administrative Office and Management.
 Open the file, “Developing a Professional Work Ethic”.
 Read and answer all questions including the Critical Thinking Questions.
 Print and turn in answers only page 42 - 43. The Critical Thinking questions and review
questions should be answered in a word document. Email as an attachment to Mrs. Klein.

3. E-mail Etiquette Project—due November 5/6


 Complete all activities on the Professional Business Communication Instructions document on
my website.
 All other documents you will need can be found on my website.
 Submit by the deadline as instructed

4. Training Workshop for Special Concentration Areas– Presentations given on November 12/13
 Investigate special concentration areas in management (i.e sales, production, hospitality, sports
and recreation, entertainment, human resources etc.)
 You will be preparing a “Training Workshop” for one of the special management training areas.
See Mrs. Klein to sign up. (Everyone must have a different concentration area.)
 Open the “Training Workshop” files on www.bonitaklein.weebly.com
 Email presentation to Mrs. Klein as an attachment.

5. Social Media/Digital Footprint—due November 9/10


 Research the impact of a person’s digital footprint
 Determine the pros and cons of a digital footprint
 Make list of the do’s and don’ts of social media.
 (The list should be compiled from creditable resource, not your own personal list.)
 Write a letter to me, using the BPA Style and Reference manual format; explain the three bullet
points above. Send the letter to Mrs. Klein as an attachment in an email.
 The letter will be graded on content as well as the use of the correct format, grammar and spelling

6. Professional Dress Day—November 12/13, day of Training Workshop presentations.
