Dump Bailer
The Black Diamond Dump Bailer is used to dump (place) mercury,
acid, cement or other fluids onto the top of a sub-surface tool. The
bailer Black Diamond Dump Bailer is run in the hole on the bottom
of the workstring and set on the top of the sub-surface tool where
the contents are to be dumped. Using jarring a shear disc is broken
which allows the fluid to be dumped to flow out of the bottom shoe
and onto the area to be treated. To ensure that there is no entrained
pressure in the bailer tube when returned to surface, a relief port is
included in the upper sub to allow well pressure is progressively bleed
down to atmospheric; however caution should still be exercised when
the bailer is returned to surface.
