The basics
Last weekend, friend of mine were asked me to accompany her to climb Mount Merbabu. Her
name is Shanya, she is my best friend since I was a little. We always hold holiday together every
month so this month we go to Mount Merbabu. This wasn't our first time to climb mountain so
we know what to bring. A day before we went to Merbabu, I decided to stay in shanya's
apartment so we can easier to packed our needs together. On the day, we woke up at 2am so
we can saw sunrise on top of merbabu. We left apartment at 3 am and arrived in Merbabu at 4
am. Then, we started to climb. Soon as we are on the way to the top, the rain is coming. It was
such an amazing moment cause we never climb in the rain. In order not to get cold, we decided
to take shelter under a big tree. We've already waited for an hour but the rain didn't stop.
Under the big tree, we feel so hungry and cold so we decided to made instant noodle and tea.
After waiting for two hours, the rain finally stopped. As the rain stopped, we continue our
journey to the top. In the middle of our way, we found a bird whose wings are badly injured.
We take the bird with us, we put some medicine in order to reduce the pain. After 2 more
hours of climbing, we finally can get to the top of Mount Merbabu. It was such a beautiful
experience that we could get there. After take some photos, we ate some breads in order to
not getting hungry. We decided to went back because it's getting cloudy. In our way back home,
the rain is coming again. Oh, what a day. We shelter under a big tree again in order to not get
wet. I would definitely remember this moment till forever. The rain finally stopped so we
continue our way back home. We arrived at shanya's apartment at 7 pm. It was a long day.
Then, in order to get relax after a long journey we took a shower with warm water. After taking
shower I decided to cook some food so that shanya can eat after she is taking shower. While we
are eating we talking about our memorable journey too. We had a really deep talk. We talk
about money, future, savings and everything. On the next day, we print out our photos to stick
it on our "wall of journey". Wall of journey is a board that contain all of our photos in order to
keep our moment last forever. After looking for our wall of journey we remembered something,
the poor bird! I ran to my backpack and checked the poor bird. Luckily the bird is still alive so
we brought the bird to vet in order to fix its wings. That's all my story about Mount Merbabu.
