w03 Burn-Lab-Worksheet

Yuko Sakai conducted a burn lab on January 23, 2021 to identify different fabrics by how they burned. She tested 4 fabrics: linen, a mix of polyester and rayon, polyester, and cotton. For each fabric, she recorded pictures of the fabric and ash, and described how the fabric behaved when introduced to a flame, while burning, and after being removed from the flame. The results were compared to a burn test chart to determine the type of fabric.
