Burn Lab

Emily Prueitt conducted a burn lab on September 28th, 2022 to test and identify different fabrics. She tested 4 fabrics: acrylic, rayon, nylon, and satin. For each fabric, she recorded pictures of the fabric and burning/ash, and described how the fabric behaved when approached by a flame, in the flame, and after removal from the flame. She was able to identify the fabrics as acrylic, rayon, nylon, and satin based on their burning behaviors.
