PROJECT PROPOSAL/ACTIVITY DESIGN
(For Inclusion In the Annual Investment Program CY 2021)
I. TITLE: LINGGO NG KABATAAN
II. RATIONALE
Linggo ng Kabataan serves as commemoration of young Filipino heroes who made
significant contributions to the development of the country. It is a weeklong celebration
that recognizes the contribution of the youth to culture, festivals, arts and nation-
building. During the conduct of this event, it is also timely to acknowledge to
exemplary youth organizations in the province.
As mandated on Section 30 of Republic Act no. 10742, also known as the SK Reform
Act of 2015, Linggo ng Kabataan will be conducted as an annual activity to coincide
with the International Youth Day.
In staying true to spirit of International Youth Day, Linggo ng Kabataan highlights the
role of young women and men as essential partners in change. It can provide for the
opportunity to raise awareness on the challenges and problems facing the Filipino
youth such as environmental protection, drug proliferation and mental health.
I. OBJECTIVES:
SK Panlalawigang Pederasyon and Provincial Youth Development Office will be
hosting the launching of Linggo ng Kabataan to unify the youth of the province.
Specifically this activity intends to:
1. Gather the SKs and members of Katipunan ng Kabataan in all barangays in
North Cotabato;
2. Foster camaraderie among the youth sector by introducing relevant and
timely activities in the program.
3. Motivate the SK Chairmen to work harder thru an reward system or an
incentive-based awards
4. Promote active citizenship and nation-building among the SK Chairmen,
Katipunan ng Kabataan, and other stakeholders
5. Update the SK Chairmen on youth development policies and initiatives by the
NYC thru NYC resource speakers.
IV. EXPECTED OUTPUTS
The conduct of this activity will yield the following results:

1. One Hundred Percent participation and attendance for SK chairmen, SK
Federation Presidents, Local Youth Development Officers and members of the
Local Youth Development Council
2. Identifying and Awarding of the Best Performing SK Chairmen.
3. Identifying and Awarding of the Best PYDP implementor at a baranggay level.
4. Identifying and Awarding of The best Plan/Program/Activity by an SK Chairman.
5. Identifying and Awarding of The mostactive municipality in terms of youth affairs.
V. PARTICIPANTS
The events will be participated by the SKs and members of Katipunan ng Kabataan
from all barangays in the Province of Cotabato.
II. MECHANICS
Linggo ng Kabataan launching will be a one-day activity wherein series of activities
will be conducted.
III. VENUE & SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITY
Linggo ng Kabataan will be held on August 12, 2018 at the Provincial Gym, Amas,
Kidapawan City.

IX. PERSONS RESPONSIBLE
The activity will be a consolidated efforts of the SK Federation and Provincial Youth
Development Officers unifying brilliant ideas in program making for productive and
fruitful output.
V. SOURCE OF FUNDS
The funds to be utilized will be coming from the General Fund 1011-A
VI. OTHER MATTERS
RECOMMENDATION:
To grant the approval of funds for the conduct of the Linggo ng Kabataan on August
12, 2020 at the Provincial Gym, Amas, Kidapawan City amounting to Eight Hundred Sixty
Six Thousand Nine Hundred Pesos (866,900.00) Only chargeable against the Appropriate
Fund of the Provincial Government.
