Here is a demonstration in donning and doffing of your personal protective equipment

I am kpp from 3y2-5 B

Please keep in mind that wearing your ppe in a chronological manner is important.

You’re going to start by donning or putting on your laboratory coat. Here’s how

First is you grab your coat from its clean and safe space

Second is you carefully insert your arm into its corresponding sleeve, and then, your other arm into
the other sleeve

Make sure to adjust your shoulders and sleeves until you’re comfortable

Lastly, close the buttons of your laboratory coat.

After successfully putting on your coat, proceed to mask donning

You’re going to start by sanitizing your hands

Gently grab the mask by the ear loops like so

Place the ear loops around your ears

Adjust the flexible band to fit your nose bridge

As well as your mask to make sure it extends below your chin

Last donning procedure would be sterile gloves

Youre going to start by sanitizing your work surface

Put the sterile glove packet onto your work surface

Gently unwrap the packet through its edges

Pull on the paper’s edges to prevent the wrapper from folding back.

Pick up one sterile glove by pinching its rolled part without touching the outside of the gloves because
it is sterile

Slowly slide your other hand on to the glove.


In putting the second glove, slide your gloved fingers like this

Keep your gloved hand under the rolled part as you insert the hand into the glove

Pick up the wrapper by pinching its center and drop it into the trash

You’ve now finished donning. Now it is time to doff or remove your ppe

Starting with your gloves

Pinch the outer part of your glove and pull it halfway

Do the same thing with your other hand, but almost pulling it through

Using your other hand, remove the glove completely like so

Crumple the used glove carefully

Now, slide your clean finger into the inner portion of the glove without touching the outside

Gently remove the glove and dispose

Let’s move on to mask doffing

Start by sanitizing your hands

Carefully Grab the mask by the ear loops without touching the front

Dispose the mask and once again perform hand sanitizing.

Last procedure in ppe doffing would be your laboratory coat removal

Start by unbuttoning your coat

Slide the fingers of one hand under the cuff of the opposite sleeves and pull it from the arm.

Do the same thing with the other arm

In any case that the coat have been soiled, turn the coat inside out and fold it nicely.
