Prayer for

Protection and Healing

Our Father in heaven, let our prayers be counted as ‫ ִּתכּ וֹ ן ְּת ִפ ָּל ֵתנ ּו ְקט ֶֹרת‬,‫ָא ִבינ ּו ׁ ֶש ַ ּב ׁ ּ ָש ַמ ִים‬
incense before you, like the incense that Aaron the priest carried ‫ ַ ּכ ְּקט ֶֹרת ׁ ֶש ַּקח ַא ֲהרֹן ַהכּ ֵֹהן ְו ָרץ ֶאל ּתוֹ ך‬,‫ְל ָפ ֶנ ָיך‬
quickly to the congregation to make atonement for them—“For
‫ ִ ּכי ָי ָצא ַה ֶּק ֶצף ִמ ִּל ְפ ֵני ְי ָי‬,‫ַה ָּק ָהל ְו ִכ ּ ֵיפר ַעל ָה ָעם‬
wrath has gone out from the LORD; the plague has begun”
(Numbers 17:11[16:46]).
.‫ֵה ֵחל ַה ָּנ ֶגף‬
Let the sun of righteousness rise with healing in his wings, as it ,‫ׁ ֶש ֶמ ׁש ְצ ָד ָקה ּו ַמ ְר ּ ֵפא ִ ּב ְכ ָנ ֶפיה ִּת ְז ַרח ָנא ָלנ ּו‬
says, “He stood between the dead and the living, and the plague ‫ ַו ַ ּי ֲעמֹד ֵ ּבין ַה ֵּמ ִתים ּו ֵבין ַה ַח ִ ּיים ַו ֵּת ָע ַצר‬:‫ָ ּכ ָאמ ּור‬
was stopped” (Numbers 17:13[16:48]). For how can we bear to
‫ ִ ּכי ֵא ָיכ ָכה נ ּו ַכל ְו ָר ִאינ ּו ָ ּב ָר ָעה ֲא ׁ ֶשר‬.‫ַה ַּמ ֵ ּג ָפה‬
see the harm that would befall our people? Spare your people,
O LORD, and do not make your heritage a reproach, as it says in
‫ִי ְמ ָצא ֶאת ַע ֵּמנ ּו? ח ּו ָסה ְי ָי ַעל ַע ֶּמ ָך ְו ַאל ִּת ֵּתן‬
the Torah of your servant Moses, “I will take sickness away from :‫ ַ ּכ ָ ּכת ּוב ְ ּבתוֹ ַרת מ ׁ ֶֹשה ַע ְב ֶּד ָך‬,‫ַנ ֲח ָל ְת ָך ְל ֶח ְר ּ ָפה‬
among you” (Exodus 23:25); “And the LORD will take away from ‫ ְו ֵה ִסיר ְי ָי ִמ ְּמ ָך ָ ּכל ח ִֹלי‬.‫ַו ֲה ִסר ִֹתי ַמ ֲח ָלה ִמ ִּק ְר ֶ ּב ָך‬
you all sickness, and none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you ‫ש ָימם‬ ׂ ִ ‫ְו ָכל ַמ ְד ֵוי ִמ ְצ ַר ִים ָה ָר ִעים ֲא ׁ ֶשר ָי ַד ְע ָּת לֹא ְי‬
knew, will he inflict on you” (Deuteronomy 7:15); “I will put none
‫שים‬ ׂ ִ ‫ש ְמ ִּתי ְב ִמ ְצ ַר ִים לֹא ָא‬ ׂ ַ ‫ ָ ּכל ַה ַּמ ֲח ָלה ֲא ׁ ֶשר‬.‫ָ ּב ְך‬
of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the
.‫ָע ֶל ָיך ִ ּכי ֲא ִני ְי ָי ר ְֹפ ֶא ָך‬
LORD, your healer” (Exodus 15:26).

Compassionate Father who creates the cure before the ‫ ְר ָפ ֵאנ ּו ְי ָי‬,‫ָאב ָה ַר ֲח ָמן ַה ַּמ ְק ִּדים ְרפ ּו ָאה ְל ַמ ָ ּכה‬
affliction, heal us O LORD, and we will be healed. Save us and we .‫ ִ ּכי ְת ִה ָּל ֵתנ ּו ָא ָּתה‬,‫הוש ֵיענ ּו ְו ִנ ָּו ׁ ֵש ָעה‬
ִ ׁ ,‫ְו ֵנ ָר ֵפא‬
will be saved. For you are our praise.
For your salvation I do wait, O LORD. Dispatch your salvation
,‫ ׁ ְש ַלח ָנא ְי ׁש ּו ַע ְת ָך ִמ ִ ּצ ּיוֹ ן‬.‫ִל ׁיש ּו ָע ְת ָך ִק ִּו ִיתי ְי ָי‬
from Zion, as it says, “Whatever plague, whatever sickness there ‫ ָכל ְּת ִח ָּנה‬,‫ ָ ּכל ְּת ִפ ָּלה‬,‫ ָ ּכל ַמ ֲח ָלה‬,‫ ָ ּכל ֶנ ַגע‬:‫ָ ּכ ָאמ ּור‬
is, whatever prayer, whatever plea is made by any person or by all ‫ ֲא ׁ ֶשר‬,‫ש ָר ֵאל‬ ׂ ְ ‫ֲא ׁ ֶשר ִת ְה ֶיה ְל ָכל ָה ָא ָדם ְלכֹל ַע ְּמ ָך ִי‬
your people Israel, each knowing the affliction of his own heart ‫ש ַ ּכ ּ ָפיו ֶאל ַה ַ ּב ִית‬ ׂ ‫ֵי ְדע ּון ִא ׁיש ֶנ ַגע ְל ָבבוֹ ּו ָפ ַר‬
and stretching out his hands toward this house.” Hear our prayers
‫ ְו ַא ָּתה ִּת ׁ ְש ַמע ַה ׁ ּ ָש ַמ ִים ְמכוֹ ן ׁ ִש ְב ֶּת ָך ְו ָס ַל ְח ָּת‬.‫ַה ֶ ּזה‬
in heaven your dwelling place and forgive and act, that we may all
.‫ ְל ַמ ַען ִנ ָיר ֲא ָך ֻכ ָּלנ ּו ְו ִנ ְח ֶיה‬,‫ש ָית‬
ׂ ִ ‫ְו ָע‬
fear you and live (1 Kings 8:37-40).

Help us O God of our salvation; for the sake of the ‫ ַ ּב ֲעב ּור ְ ּכבוֹ ד ׁ ִש ְמ ָך‬,‫יענ ּו ֱאל ֵֹהי ִי ׁ ְש ֵענ ּו‬ ֵ ‫הוֹ ׁ ִש‬
glory of your Name, do not look upon our wickedness. Instead, ‫ ִ ּכי ִאם ֲע ֵשׂה ִע ָּמנ ּו ְצ ָד ָקה‬,‫ַאל ֵּת ֶפן ֶאל ִר ׁ ְש ֵענ ּו‬
deal with us with charity and devotion, as it says, “He takes pity
‫ ָיחֹס ַעל ַּדל ְו ֶא ְביוֹ ן ְו ַנ ְפ ׁשוֹ ת‬:‫ ָ ּכ ָאמ ּור‬,‫ָו ֶח ֶסד‬
on the downtrodden and poor, and the souls of the poor he
‫ ֲע ֵשׂה ְל ַמ ַען ֵי ׁש ּו ַע ֲאדוֹ ֵננ ּו ֲא ׁ ֶשר‬.‫ֶא ְביוֹ ִנים יוֹ ׁ ִש ַיע‬
saves.” Act for the sake of our Master Yeshua to whom you gave
the authority to heal every disease and sickness; our righteous ‫ ְמ ׁ ִש ַיח‬,‫ָנ ַת ָּת לּ וֹ ׁ ָש ְל ָטן ִל ְר ּפוֹ א ָ ּכל ֳח ִלי ְו ָכל ַמ ְד ֶוה‬
Messiah of whom it written, “Surely he carried our sicknesses, ‫שא ּו ַמ ְכא ֵֹבנ ּו‬ ׂ ָ ‫ִצ ְד ֵקנ ּו ׁ ֶש ָ ּכת ּוב בּ וֹ ָא ֵכן ֳח ָל ֵינ ּו ה ּוא ָנ‬
and bore our diseases” (Isaiah 53:4). In his merit and virtues, may ‫ ִי ְהי ּו ְל ָרצוֹ ן ִא ְמ ֵרי‬, ֹ‫ ִ ּב ְזכ ּות ּו ְזכ ּויוֹ ת ׁ ֶשלּ ו‬.‫ְס ָב ָלם‬
the sayings of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts be .‫ ְי ָי צ ּו ֵרנ ּו ְוגוֹ ֲא ֵלנ ּו‬,‫ִפינ ּו ְו ֶה ְגיוֹ ן ִל ֵ ּבנ ּו ְל ָפ ֶנ ָיך‬
favorable before you, O LORD, our rock and our redeemer.
