PREAMBLE

For the purposes of these general requirements:

- RENAULT is called the "Manufacturer",

- any company bound to the Manufacturer by a purchasing contract (explicit or implicit) is called
the "Supplier",

- the installation manuals and operating manuals referred to in this standard are called
"documents",

- the whole unitary service stipulated in the contract is called the "product"; accordingly, "the
product" comprises the equipment, the documents and the unit package.

1. SCOPE

The purpose of this document, applicable only to the Suppliers of the Manufacturer, is to define

- a frame of reference,

- the rules for writing and presentation,

- the essential items that must appear in the documents.

for the explanatory documents accompanying spare parts and accessories:

It concerns all products sold by the "Parts and Accessories" Department.

The rules have been established to ensure that the "duty to provide information", legally required of
all Suppliers, is respected. The purpose of such information is to ensure the end-customer or the
RENAULT after-sales network:

- can easily install the parts and accessories,

- are assured of their proper utilisation,

- and is in compliance with regulatory, normative and safety requirements,

This document is applicable to all accessories and products requiring specific explanations for their
utilisation and installation.

If the parts have to be installed by a professional according specific methods, these documents may
serve as a complement to those issued by the parent department, without superseding such
documents. In this way, they have the advantage of accompanying the parts until the site of
installation then of utilisation and of remaining in the possession of the user.

2. GENERAL CONDITIONS

2.1. SUPPLIER RESPONSIBILITY

Unless otherwise expressly indicated as the subject of a specific instruction on the part of the
Manufacturer, the Supplier of the product is responsible for the design and finalization of the
documents referred to in this standard.

The Supplier shall ensure that his premises are equipped with the facilities necessary to ensure that
the documents accompany the products sold to the Manufacturer.

In addition, he shall ensure that the manner in which the documents are positioned in the package is
not liable to damage such documents.

2.2. APPROVAL CONDITIONS

The documents are an integral part of the After-Sales product. They are subject to the same rules as
the products and are therefore subject to the approval of the "Parts and Accessories Engineering"
department (DIPA) responsible for the approval of the initial samples for specific After-Sales parts.

The Supplier therefore undertakes to submit, at the same time as the initial samples, type model of
these documents on paper and electronic format (format PDF (Portable Document Format)).

The DIPA and the Supplier shall keep each other informed of any modification to the product,
presentation or the content liable to prompt a revision of the documents (see paragraph 6.).

2.3. MARKINGS

Apart from the technical aspects of the product itself, each document shall highlight on the front page,
minimum, of the document or documents:

- the RENAULT logo (trademark title block),

- the RENAULT designation and reference (P/N) of the product,

- the product revision level,

- if requested by the Manufacturer, the Supplier's logo (not its firm name),

- its date of issue,

- its revision level, if any,

- the items necessary for management by the Supplier of these documents (internal references of
the document, products, etc.).

Any specific waiver shall be the subject of an official request to the DIPA.

2.4. SHAPE OF DOCUMENTS

The size of the documents referred to in this standard shall always be a multiple of format A4.
Whatever the case, it shall always be compatible with the packaging of the part.

The Manufacturer reserves the right to impose the style of the document, i.e. diagrammatic, textual or
mixed. From the moment drafting of the documents commences, it is the Supplier's responsibility to
contact the persons responsible for manuals at the DIPA.

Alphanumerical characters shall be typed.

The diagrams shall not be drawn free hand and shall be shaded (see paragraph 5.3.).

Insofar as possible, the perspectives are isometric perspectives (see paragraph 5.1.).

The thickness of the drawing lines shall vary according to their purpose (see paragraph 5.2.).

If the document contains several pages, all pages shall be bound (clipped, glued, or other method)
and numbered.
