SCORING RUBRIC FOR SPEAKINGTEST
This scoring rubric identifies ten points in the scale. The passing grade corresponds to point seven in this scale
and represents 70 per cent achievement.
Points 9 and 10 in the scale represents maximum achievement.
Please find attached a conversion scale that identifies percentages with the corresponding grades from 1,0 to 7,0.
QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF INFORMATION CONVEYED
        10/9 Provides plenty of and meaningful information to successfully fulfill the task.
        8      Provides enough and meaningful information to fulfill the task.
        7      Provides enough information to minimally fulfill the task.
        6/5    Provides some information, but amount is less than adequate.
        4/3    Provides almost no information, or there is not enough speech to evaluate.
        2/1    Communication is practically non existent
FLUENCY
        10/9 Speech is smooth. Hardly any hesitancy or false starts.
        8      Speech is smooth for the most part. Little hesitancy.
        7      Speech is occasionally hesitant, but does not affect the quality of communication. .
        6/5    Speech is generally hesitant and affects the quality of communication.
        4/3    Speech is very hesitant and choppy. Frequent pauses and/or unfinished phrases.
        2/1    Hardly any to no fluency.
PRONUNCIATION
        10/9 Hardly any errors in pronunciation that hinder comprehension.
        8      Few errors in pronunciation that obscure comprehension.
        7      Some errors in pronunciation that obscure comprehension.
        6/5    Frequent errors in pronunciation that cause misunderstanding.
        4/3    Frequent errors in pronunciation that cause serious misunderstanding.
        2/1    Frequent errors in pronunciation that impede communication.
VOCABULARY
        10/9 Uses a wide range of the vocabulary studied, and consistently uses it appropriately.
        8     Uses a fairly wide range of the vocabulary studied. Most of the vocabulary is used appropriately.
        7     Uses an adequate range of the vocabulary studied, but sometimes inappropriately.
        6/5   Uses a limited range of the vocabulary studied. Vocabulary is often used inappropriately.
        4/3   Shows a very restricted range of the vocabulary studied, and it is used inappropriately.
        2/1   Shows hardly any command of vocabulary.
GRAMMATICAL ACCURACY
