STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

It is after a good deal of self-evaluation that I have decided to pursue


graduate studies in computer science. This decision followed after carefully
appraising my academic performance, my areas of interest, my ultimate
ambition, which is to pursue a research career. The urge to obtain an in-
depth understanding and specialized knowledge in my areas of interest, has
made me apply for an MS program.

My Under Graduate program in Computer Science and Engineering


discipline at, one of the Premier Institute at Osmania University Hyderabad,
has given me a substantial knowledge of the basic areas of computer science.
I have striven to develop a clear understanding of the basic concepts and
acquire an insight into the Computer Science.
I have been greatly motivated towards Graduate studies during my
undergraduate study. The curriculum at NITS exposed me to the broad areas
of computer science and gave me plenty of opportunities to develop my
interest in a particular area. The basic undergraduate courses like Data
Structures, Computer Architecture, Advanced Computer Architecture and
Operating Systems have given me a sound foundation in the Computer
Science domain. The advanced electives like Computer Networks, Computer
graphics, Data Base Systems and Discrete Mathematics and Graph Theory
have exposed me to some key research problems in Computer science.

My research interest lies mainly in Computer Networks .This area of


specialization requires excellent computer lab facilities and highly qualified,
research oriented faculty and as your Grad School is much more heavily
based and I am greatly attracted in your computer science.

I should consider myself as privileged if I get admission into your


prestigious University in the Computer Science Major.

I have also had a good deal of Software experience from past 5 Years, I have
given seminars in my class on various topics which gave me an opportunity
to build up my interpersonal skills and I had an opportunity for teaching
Management science classes for Correspondent Engineering course students.
This experience convinced me that I have the communication skills and the
articulation required for becoming a tutor.
My academic performance is a testimony to my ability to pursue my
graduate program. I am confident that given an opportunity, I will match the
high standards set by this prestigious University and will be an invaluable
addition to the student community of at Your University
