Preparation of the Bill of Quantities

When preparing a Bill of Quantities you must make sure that you have all the information
you need to make an accurate estimate. Next you must prepare your list. Once you have
completed the list go over it again and make sure that you have not missed anything.

Once that has been done you can put all the information together to form you Bill of
Quantities.

Pricing Techniques

We stay competitive so our pricing must stay low and our quality high. Once the Bill of
Quantities has been completed the break down can commence. Each section must be priced
to get the total cost of the project.

When it is complete it will be compared to our per square metre rate to make sure we have
not under or overpriced the construction

Quotation

We have a template where all the information is entered to produce the quote. Once it is
complete you must go over the whole quote to make sure that there is no errors. If any
errors are found they must be corrected and the whole quote must be rechecked.

Tender with the Client

Once the tender has been prepared we make an appointment to meet with the client.
When with the client we must go through each item and explain everything so that they are
aware of what is go to happen.

Once we have finished explaining the tender we can answer any questions they may have.
We leave the tender with the client so that they can go through the tender at their own
pace. We make sure to let them know that they can contact us with any questions they may
have.
