Sub : Modifications in 4WD front axle ( Carraro Axle )
Reason for Change : Make system leak free and improve reliability of front axle.
Modification :
1. Front wheel hub design revised from 5 lip seal to 7 lip seal.
2. Swivel housing seal is supported with bearing to arreset lateral play of shaft. Which will further arrest seal leakages.
3. 60 mm Dia. steering cylinder is changed with 65 mm Dia. cylinder to reduced steering efforts.
4. Power steering pipe design and HSU design revised to accomodate cylinder changes.
5. 2 Star differentail is changed with 4 Star differential to improve the life of differentail assembly.

Important Service Instructions on Axle
• Periodic Greasing on all grease nipple to be done by customer and service team.
• Oil drain period , oil quantity and grade of oil is unchanged and mentioned below.
• New parts like seals , swivel housing assy etc. are non interchangeable with existing design but 2 Star
differential is interchangeable with 4 Star differential assembly.
