IMPORTANT ! In order to provide you and your vehicle with the highest level of
security, this system is equipped with a dual mode Anti Hi-Jack feature. The
selectable Anti Hi-Jack mode and the secured Anti Hi-Jack mode are described in
this manual. Having a thorough working knowledge of the operation of both these
safety features of your security system will afford you the highest level of personal
protection. We urge you to read this manual completely to take advantage of
all the features included in the security system.

 NOTE: This system has the ability to operate a siren, the vehicle horn or both. Where siren
is referenced it may be the vehicle horn in place of or both the siren and the vehicle
horn.

ARMING THE SYSTEM - ACTIVE

1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle and close all doors, hood lid and trunk lid.
2. Press and release the ARM / DISARM button on the keychain transmitter.
" Red dash mounted LED begins to flash slowly.
" Parking Lights flash one time.
" Siren sounds one chirp.
If the siren sounds 3 chirps, then you have left a door, trunk, or hood lid
ajar. Simply close the opened entry point to provide full protection. If the
siren did not sound when arming, then the chirps have been turned off,
and you should refer to the section titled " ELIMINATING THE ARM /
DISARM CHIRPS " in this manual.
# Doors Lock - Optional

SILENT ARMING - ACTIVE

1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close all doors, hood lid, and trunk lid.
2. Press and hold the Lock button on the keychain transmitter for 2 seconds.
" Red dash mounted LED begins to flash slowly.
" Parking Lights flash one time.
" Siren will not sound.
If the siren sounds 3 chirps, then you have left a door, trunk, or hood lid
ajar. Simply close the opened entry point to provide full protection.

ARMING THE SYSTEM - PASSIVE ( AUTOMATIC )

1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close and lock all doors, hood lid, and trunk lid.
" Red dash mounted LED begins to flash rapidly, indicating 30 second passive
arming has begun.
2. Opening any protected entry point during the 30 second passive arming cycle will immedi-
ately suspend automatic arming, and the 30 second passive arming cycle will re start
when all doors are closed. At the end of the passive arming cycle;
" Red dash mounted LED begins to flash slowly.
" Parking Lights flash one time.
" Siren sounds one chirp
If the siren did not sound when arming, then the chirps have been turned
off, and you should refer to the section titled " ELIMINATING THE ARM /
DISARM CHIRPS " in this manual.

 # Doors Lock - Optional
Door locking during passive arming is a selectable feature. The alarm can
be programmed to allow the doors to lock only when arming using the
keychain transmitter, and they will not automatically lock during passive
arming.

PROTECTION WHILE THE SYSTEM IS ARMED

" Opening any protected door, hood, or trunk lid will cause the alarm to immediately
sound. The alarm will continue to sound for 30 seconds, then stop and continue to
monitor all protected entry points. If the thief left a door opened, the alarm will sound
for six 30 second cycles, remain armed and ignore that triggered zone.
" Whenever the system is armed, the red dash mounted LED indicator will slowly
flash. This serves as a visual deterrent to the potential thief. The LED is a very low
current bulb, and will not cause the vehicle’s battery to drain, even when left
unattended for extended periods.
" Whenever the system is triggered, the vehicle’s parking lights will flash for the full 30
second alarm cycle, attracting visual attention to the vehicle.
" Whenever the system is armed, the vehicle’s starting circuit will be bypassed. If the
thief should choose to ignore the siren, the vehicle can not be started.
" Any strong impact to the vehicle's glass/body will cause the alarm to trigger for the
full 30 second alarm cycle. A milder impact will cause the siren to emit a few short
warning tones.

DISARMING THE SYSTEM

1. As you approach the vehicle, press and release the ARM / DISARM button on the
keychain transmitter.
" Red dash mounted LED turns off.
If passive arming is selected, the LED will start flashing rapidly, indicat-
ing that the system is re arming automatically. Open any door to sus-
pend the automatic arming.
" Parking Lights flash two times.
If the parking lights flashed three times, then the alarm was triggered in
your absence. Before turning the key on, examine the LED to identify
which zone was triggered.
" Siren sounds two chirps.
If the siren sounds 4 chirps, then the alarm was triggered in your
absence. Before turning the key on, examine the LED and refer to the
INTRUSION WARNING SIGNALS section of this manual to identify which
zone was triggered.
If the siren did not sound when disarming, then the chirps have been
turned off, and you should refer to the section titled " ELIMINATING THE
ARM / DISARM CHIRPS " in this manual.

 # Doors Unlock - Optional
NOTE: Anytime the system is disarmed, the unit will rearm automatically unless a door is
opened. This will occur regardless of the arming method selected.

SILENT DISARMING
1. As you approach the vehicle, press and hold the Unlock button on the keychain transmitter
for 2 seconds.
" Red dash mounted LED turns off.
If passive arming was selected during the installation, then the LED will
start flashing rapidly, indicating that the system is re-arming automati-
cally. Open any door to suspend the automatic arming.
" Parking Lights flash two times.
If the parking lights flashed three times, then the alarm was triggered in
your absence. Before turning the key on, examine the LED to identify
which zone was triggered.
" Siren will not sound.
If the siren sounds 4 chirps, then the alarm was triggered in your
absence. Before turning the key on, examine the LED and refer to the
INTRUSION WARNING SIGNALS section of this manual to identify which
zone was triggered.
# Doors Unlock - Optional
NOTE: Must be selected on during installation.

INTRUSION WARNING SIGNALS

This system will inform you if an intrusion attempt has occurred while you were away from
the vehicle. If an intrusion attempt has occurred, the siren will chirp 4 times and the parking
lights will flash 3 times when disarming the system. Enter the vehicle, and observe the red
dash mounted LED to identify which zone was triggered.
If the LED is flashing two times...pause...two times...pause...etc., then an intrusion attempt
was made to a hood or trunk pin switch that was added to the system, or to a light activated
entry point if the alarm was installed using the voltage sensing feature.
If the LED is flashing three times...pause...three times...pause...etc., then an intrusion at-
tempt was made through one of the vehicle’s doors.
These intrusion warning indicators are stored in the system’s memory and will only be
erased when the ignition key is turned on.

ELIMINATING THE NORMAL ARM / DISARM CHIRPS

As explained earlier in the manual, you can eliminate the chirps selectively any time you arm
or disarm the system simply by holding the ARM / DISARM button for two seconds. If you find
the normal arming and disarming chirps annoying, they can be turned off permanently,
eliminating the need to hold the ARM / DISARM button for two seconds. To do this,
1. Turn the ignition key on then off.

 2. Within 10 seconds, press and release the valet push button switch three times.
3. If the chirps were on before you started, then you will hear 2 chirps indicating
they have been turned off.
If the chirps were off before you started, then you will hear one chirp indicating
they have been turned on.
NOTE: Whenever the chirps are by-passed, the 4 chirp intrusion indicator and 3 chirp
defective zone indicator will always operate. Since these are important warnings to
you that something has happened, they cannot be eliminated.

VALET SWITCH
The valet switch allows you to temporarily bypass all alarm functions, eliminating the need
to hand your transmitter to parking attendants or garage mechanics. When the system is in
valet mode, all alarm functions are bypassed, however the remote panic feature and remote
door locks will remain operational. To use the valet mode, the system must first be disarmed
either by using your keychain transmitter, or by operating the manual override sequence.
1. From the disarmed condition, turn the ignition key to the on position.
2. Press and hold the valet pushbutton switch until the dash mounted LED, (Light
Emitting Diode) turns on. The LED will remain on as long as the system is in
valet mode.
3. To return to normal operation, press and release the push button switch any
time the ignition is on.
NOTE: Always remember to return the system to the NON VALET mode, after servicing, to
ensure that the vehicle remains protected at all times.

MANUALLY OVERRIDING YOUR SYSTEM:

USING THE VALET SWITCH MANUAL OVERRIDE
Your Security System can be disarmed without the use of the keychain transmitter. This is
necessary, since you will need the ability to operate your vehicle if the transmitter is lost or
its battery fails. If your system has been selected for Valet Switch manual override as
indicated on the last page of this manual, to by-pass the alarm system.
1. Open the vehicle door. The alarm will sound.
2. Turn the ignition key to the on position.
3. Within 5 seconds, press and release the valet push button switch.
The alarm system will stop sounding and enter the disarmed mode. You can now start and
operate the vehicle normally.
Typically this override mode is used only if the transmitter has become inoperative. You may
elect to enter the VALET mode until repair or replacement of the transmitter, after which,
returning the system to the full operation mode is necessary. To do so, see the heading
VALET SWITCH.

Programming Your Custom Override Code:

Unlike override switches easily found, and defeated, this security system allows the con-
sumer to program a personal override code, offering a higher level of security. To take

 advantage of this option, programmable feature # 10 must be selected for the Custom Code
Option. Consult your installation center for programming details. The system comes from
the factory with a pre-programmed override code of 11. To change this default override
code, do the following:
1. Disarm the system by use of the transmitter, or by use of the
emergency override sequence. Turn the ignition switch to the on
position.
2. Within 10 seconds, press and release the valet/override switch, 3
times.
3. Within 10 seconds turn the ignition switch off, on, off, on, off, on.
(The siren or horn will beep and the lights will flash one time.)
4. Within 10 seconds, begin to enter your chosen 10ths digit by
pressing and releasing the pushbutton switch from 1 up to 9 times.
5. Within 10 seconds of the last entered 10ths digit, turn the ignition
switch off then on.
6. Within 10 seconds, begin to enter your chosen units digit by
pressing and releasing the pushbutton switch from 1 up to 9 times.
7. Finish by turning the ignition switch to the off position.
If the new code was accepted, the unit will report back the newly entered code, by flashing
the LED, first indicating the 10ths digit, pause and then the units digit. The unit will report the
new code three times with a one second pause between each code, then the system will
begin arming. If the LED flash pattern reports the previously stored code, the new code
was not entered correctly. Please repeat steps 1 through 7 above considering the following.
NOTE: Acceptable digits 10ths or units are 1 through 9. The unit will not recognize a 0
(Zero), or no digit entered in any place, units or tenths.
NOTE: If 15 seconds of inactivity expire, or if the ignition switch is turned off for more then
5 seconds during any of the above steps, the unit will revert back to the last
successfully stored code.

Custom Code Programming Example:

To change the code from the factory pre-assigned code of 11 to “52” you would do the
following:
1. Disarm the system by use of the transmitter, or by use of the
emergency override sequence.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the on position.
3. Within 10 seconds, press and release the valet/override switch, 3 times.
4. Within 10 seconds turn the ignition switch off, on, off, on, off, on.
(The siren or horn will beep and the lights will flash one time.)
5. Within 10 seconds, begin to press and release the push button
switch to set the tenths digit.
(As per the example, press and release 5 times to set the tenths digit to 5)
6. Within 10 seconds of the last press of the push-button, turn the ignition
switch off then on.

 7. Within 10 seconds, begin to press and release the push button switch to set
the units digit.
(As per the example, press and release 2 times to set the units digit to 2).
8. Turn the ignition switch to the off position. Immediately observe the LED flash
pattern.
You will note the LED flashing five times, pause, and then flash two times, pause. This
pattern will be repeated three times indicating the new code (52) has been accepted and
stored in memory.
NOTE: If after step 8, the LED flashes a code other than what was just entered, this
indicates that the code has not been changed. You will have to repeat steps 1
through 7 above being certain to note the following:
Acceptable digits 10ths or units are 1 through 9. The unit will not recognize a 0 (Zero), or
no digit entered in any place, units or tenths.
NOTE: If 15 seconds of inactivity expire, or if the ignition switch is turned off for more then
5 seconds during any of the above steps, the unit will revert back to the last
successfully stored code.

MANUALLY OVERRIDING YOUR SYSTEM:

USING THE CUSTOM CODE OVERRIDE
Assuming the override code programmed has not been changed, and the default override
code of 11 is in the system's memory.
1) Enter the vehicle and turn the ignition switch to the on position.
NOTE: The siren will sound.
2) Within 5 seconds, press and release the pushbutton switch 1 time.
3) Within 5 seconds, turn the ignition switch off then on.
4) Within 5 seconds, press and release the pushbutton switch 1 time.
5) Turn the ignition switch off then on and start the vehicle.
NOTE: If you have changed the programmed override code then substitute your new
code tenths for step 2 above, and units for step 5 above.

Sensor Defeat From Transmitter

This system has the ability to allow the sensor to be defeated, from the transmitter, entirely
or in part for one arming cycle. To eliminate the sensor for one arming cycle:
Arm the system by pressing the arm button of the transmitter one time.
If within 3 seconds of arming the system you press the arm button one time.
The siren will chirp 1 short followed by 1 long beep.
This action defeats the pre-detect stage of the sensor and allows the full trigger stage to
remain operational.
If within 3 seconds of arming the system you press the arm button two times.
The siren will chirp 1 long followed by 1 short beep.

 This action defeats the full trigger stage of the sensor and allows the pre-detect stage to
remain operational.
If within 3 seconds of arming the system, you press the arm button three times.
The siren will chirp 2 long beeps.
This action defeats both the pre-detect stage and the full detect stage of the sensor.
Once the system is disarmed, the sensor will return to normal operation upon the very next
arm cycle unless the above procedure is repeated.
If more than 3 seconds pass and then the arm/disarm button is pressed, the siren will chirp
2 short beeps, and the system will disarm.

WHILE THE SYSTEM IS SOUNDING

If during a triggered state, you wish to shut off the siren without disarming your security
system, simply press and release any transmitter button other than the disarm button. This
action will turn off the siren yet leave the vehicle fully armed and protected. This feature is
particularly useful if you are aware of children playing near your vehicle that may accidently
trigger your security system. In this case you can cancel the siren sounding without
disarming your alarm.

REMOTE PANIC OPERATION

The ARM or DISARM button on your keychain transmitter also functions as a panic switch for
use in emergency situations. To use remote panic,
1. Press and hold the ARM or DISARM button on the keychain transmitter for 3 or
more seconds. The alarm will immediately sound.
2. To stop the alarm, press and hold the ARM or DISARM button on the transmitter
again for 3 seconds. If the button is not pressed, the alarm will automatically
stop after 30 seconds. Also if any transmitter button other than the ARM or
DISARM button is pressed and released, the Panic mode will be turned off
immediately. The normal function of this transmitter button will be suspended
during the Panic sounding period.
3. During the panic mode, the Lock and Unlock buttons can be used to lock and
unlock the doors, (if the option is installed), however once the unlock/disarm
button is pressed, the vehicle's starter inhibit device, (where installed) will be
disabled allowing the vehicle to start.
NOTE: While in the Panic mode, pressing and releasing the ARM or DISARM buttons will, if
the option is installed, lock and unlock the doors respectively. While in the panic
mode, anytime the DISARM button is pressed, the panic feature will continue for the
allotted 30 seconds, however, the security system will be disarmed allowing the
vehicle to start.

ADDITIONAL REMOTE FUNCTION ( CHANNEL 2 )

This security system has an additional feature that can be connected to a number of different
optional accessories. Some of the more common uses for this channel are;

To activate the optional accessory, press and hold button 2 on the keychain transmitter for
four seconds.
NOTE: Alternate channel 2 operation is controlled by pressing and releasing button 2 of the
transmitter two times in succession. Consult your installation center for options that
may have been connected to this channel.

ADDITIONAL REMOTE FUNCTION (CHANNEL 3)

This security system has an additional feature that can be connected to a number of
different optional accessories. Some of the more common uses for this channel are;
# Remote Trunk Release
# Remote Car Starter
# Remote Window Closure
# Remote Garage Door Interface
To activate the optional accessory, press and release button 3 on the keychain transmitter
for 1 second operation or press and hold for continued operation of this output.

ADDITIONAL REMOTE FUNCTION (CHANNEL 4)

Hi-Jack activation from the transmitter is possible if the receiver has been programmed for
this feature. Consult your installation center for information pertaining to this feature and
which transmitter button to be used to activate the Anti HiJack mode. Once programmed, to
activate the Anti-HiJack feature from the transmitter, anytime the ignition switch is in the on
position, press and hold the pre-programmed channel three transmitter button for one
second. This will initiate the Anti-HiJack mode. Confirmation of activation will be indicated by
the LED and Parking Lights turning on for 5 seconds.

ANTI HI-JACK MODE OPERATION

If this feature is selected on, every time you start the vehicle and close all doors, the Anti Hi-
Jack mode is enabled. This feature is automatic and no action is required by the operator.
While the ignition is on, and the vehicle is being operated, if a vehicle door is opened and
then closed, the Hi-Jack mode is initiated (See Start Timing Delay On The Last Page Of This
Manual). After the initiation delay, the unit will begin it's 4 stage trigger cycle ending with the
vehicle engine turning off.
The following is a description of the 4 stages of shut down:
Stage 1 This stage begins after the initial delay of 15 or 45 seconds, (See start time setting
noted on the last page of this manual). The LED beginning to flash for 15 seconds.
This initial flashing of the LED allows the operator, if Hi-Jack mode is inadvertently
triggered, the time to disable the Hi-Jack mode before the siren sounds. This is
accomplished by pressing the hidden Anti Hi-Jack override button.
Stage 2 For the next 30 seconds in 10 second intervals, the siren will emit a single chirp.

 The intent of the chirp signals is a warning that the next stage will begin the shut
down sequence, first causing the engine to hesitate and then in stage 4 to stall.
Stage 3 For the next 30 seconds, the unit will begin to flash the parking lights, sound the
siren, and pulse the ignition system on and off. This stage calls attention to the
vehicle by flashing the lights, sounding the siren, and pulsing the ignition circuit,
causing the engine to slow down.
Stage 4 At this point, the ignition circuit is inhibited, (The vehicle turns off), the siren
continues to sound, and the lights continue to flash. After 30 seconds, the siren
stops sounding, yet the ignition remains inhibited and the lights continue to flash.
Because, the engine is disabled, typically the thief will abandon the vehicle.
If you are the unfortunate victim of a vehicle Hi-Jack, for your personal safety, it is best to
leave the vehicle as quickly as possible. Never attempt to oppose the thief in any way. If the
thief prevents you from leaving the vehicle, disarm the Hi-Jack feature to prevent the system
from sounding while you are in the presence of your captor. Once you exit the vehicle,
opening and then closing the door will initiate the Hi-jack feature and the vehicle will be
disabled after the 4 stages described above are complete.
NOTE: If at anytime during stage three or four the ignition is turned off then on, the system
will allow the vehicle to start one time for 15 seconds. The circuit will then begin
pulsing the ignition on then off for an additional 15 seconds, after which the ignition
will be inhibited until the unit is reset. The intent of this last start is to allow the vehicle
to be moved off the road, out of the way of traffic. The parking lights will continue
to flash after a Hi-Jack attempt until the circuit is reset. This is to insure the vehicle
is highly visible regardless of where it might have been abandoned.

DISARMING THE HI-JACK FEATURE

Anytime after the Hi-Jack mode has been triggered, the circuit can be disarmed simply by
pressing the hidden push button switch. Depressing this switch one time will cause the
security system to reset the Hi-Jack mode. The circuit will not trigger again unless the door
is opened and then closed while the vehicle is running.

SECURED MODE OF OPERATION

The secured mode of operation is available regardless of whether or not the normal Hi-Jack
feature is enabled. This feature can be programmed to operate every time the alarm system
is armed, (Passive) or only when you activate the hidden push button switch, (Active). The
secured mode is used in areas where the operator of the vehicle may be attacked returning
to their car. Shopping mall parking lots, dark streets, hidden driveways are typical places a
thief may hide waiting for the operator to return to their vehicle. Placing the unit in the
secured mode allows the owner to readily offer their keys to the thief with confidence that
the vehicle cannot be driven very far.
To Enter The Secured Mode (Passive):
1. Exit the vehicle, close all doors.
2. If the alarm system is selected for Passive alarm arming, allow the vehicle to arm.

 3. If the alarm system is selected for active alarm arming, press the arming button of
the keychain transmitter.
NOTE: (The LED turns on for 5 seconds indicating that the secured mode has successfully
be entered).
To Enter The Secured Mode (Active):
1. Turn off the ignition switch.
2. Press the hidden Hi-Jack enable/override switch one time. The LED turns on for 5
seconds indicating that the secured mode has successfully be entered.
3. Exit the vehicle, close all doors, and arm your security system using the keychain
transmitter.
NOTE: (The secured Hi-Jack feature will operate with or without the security system armed).
While in the secured mode, if the ignition switch is turned on, the security system will enter
the Hi-Jack mode and follow the 4 stages of shut down as indicated above.
NOTE: The secured mode can also be entered while in the valet mode. Press the hidden
push button switch one time prior to exiting the vehicle as described above. The
LED in this case will turn off for 5 seconds indicating that the secured mode has
successfully been entered.
Exiting the secured mode:
Upon returning to the vehicle:
1. If armed, disarm your security system.
2. Enter your vehicle, close all doors, Press and release the hidden Hi-Jack override
switch. The LED will Flash 5 times indicating that the secured Hi-Jack mode has
successfully been disarmed.
3. Start your vehicle, normal operation is resumed.
NOTE: If you forget to exit the secured mode, inadvertently triggering the unit, simply press
the hidden override switch (with or without the ignition switch on), the unit will disarm
resuming normal operation.

Sistema de seguridad remoto de 3 botones
con característica antisecuestro
¡IMPORTANTE! Para brindar a usted y a su vehículo el más elevado nivel de seguridad,
este sistema está dotado de una característica antisecuestro de modo doble. El modo
antisecuestro seleccionable y el modo antisecuestro asegurado se describen en este manual.
Un conocimiento práctico a fondo de la operación de las dos características antisecuestro
de su sistema de seguridad le brindará el más elevado nivel de protección personal. Le
instamos leer este manual en su totalidad para poder aprovechar todas las características
que el sistema de seguridad incluye.

CÓMO ACTIVAR EL SISTEMA
1. Apague el motor, salga del vehículo y cierre todas las puertas, el capó, y la tapa del baúl.
2. Pulse y suelte el botón de ARMAR/DESARMAR en el transmisor de llavero.
" El indicador LED rojo montado en el tablero de instrumentos comienza a parpa-
dear lentamente.
" Las luces de estacionamiento parpadean una vez.
" La sirena emite un chirrido.
Si la sirena emite 3 chirridos, entonces ha dejado una puerta, el baúl o capó
entreabierto. Simplemente cierre el punto de acceso abierto para proporcionar
protección completa. Si la sirena no sonó durante el armado del sistema,
entonces los chirridos se han apagado, y usted debe referirse a la sección
titulada “SUPRESIÓN DE LOS CHIRRIDOS DE ARMADO/DESARMADO” en este
manual

ACTIVACIÓN SILENCIOSA – MODO ACTIVO

1. Apague el motor, salga del vehículo y cierre todas las puertas, el capó y el baúl.
2. Oprima y mantenga apretado el botón de trabado del transmisor de llavero por 2
segundos.
" El indicador LED de color rojo montado en el tablero de instrumentos comienza
a destellar lentamente.
" Las luces de estacionamiento destellan una vez.
" La sirena no sonará.
Si la sirena emite 3 “chirridos”, entonces ha dejado una puerta, el baúl
o el capó abierto. Simplemente cierre el punto de acceso que quedó
abierto para tener protección completa.
# Trabado de puertas - Opcional
La nota: Este rasgo debe seleccionarse durante la instalación

CÓMO ARMAR EL SISTEMA - PASIVO (AUTOMÁTICO)

1. Apague el motor, salga del vehículo y cierre y bloquee todas las puertas, el capó y la tapa
del baúl.
" El indicador LED rojo montado en el tablero de instrumentos comienza a parpadear
rápidamente, para indicar que ha comenzado el armado pasivo de 30 segundos.
2. Si abre cualquier punto de acceso protegido durante el ciclo de armado pasivo de 30
segundos, se suspenderá inmediatamente el armado automático, y el ciclo de armado
pasivo de 30 segundos comenzará de nuevo cuando todas las puertas se hayan cerrado.
Al final del ciclo de armado pasivo:
" El LED rojo montado en el tablero de instrumentos comienza a parpadear lentamente.
" Las luces de estacionamiento parpadean una vez
" La sirena emite un chirrido.
Si la sirena no sonó durante el armado del sistema, entonces los chirridos se

 El bloqueo de las puertas durante el armado pasivo es una característica
seleccionable. La alarma puede programarse para permitir que las puertas sólo
se bloqueen cuando se arma usando el transmisor de llavero, y que no se
bloqueen automáticamente durante el armado pasivo.

PROTECCIÓN MIENTRAS EL SISTEMA ESTÁ ARMADO

" Si se abre cualquier puerta, capó o tapa de baúl protegido, la alarma sonará
inmediatamente. La alarma continuará sonando durante 30 segundos, luego dejará
de sonar y continuará monitoreando todos los puntos de acceso protegidos. Si el
ladrón ha dejado una puerta abierta, la alarma sonará durante seis ciclos de 30
segundos, permanecerá armada e ignorará la zona activada.
" Cada vez que el sistema se arme, el indicador LED rojo montado en el tablero de
instrumentos parpadeará lentamente. Esto sirve para disuadir al posible ladrón. El
indicador LED es un bombillo de corriente muy baja y no descargará la batería
del vehículo, incluso cuando se deja sin atender durante períodos prolongados.
" Cada vez que se active el sistema, las luces de estacionamiento del vehículo
parpadearán durante el ciclo completo de alarma de 30 segundos, atrayendo
atención visual al vehículo.
" Cada vez que el sistema esté armado, se sobrepasará el circuito de encendido
del vehículo. Si el ladrón eligiera ignorar la sirena, el vehículo no podrá encenderse.
" Cualquier impacto fuerte contra el vidrio/carrocería del vehículo activará la alarma
durante el ciclo de alarma completo de 30 segundos. Un impacto menos fuerte
hará que la sirena emita unos tonos breves de advertencia.

CÓMO DESARMAR EL SISTEMA

1. Al acercarse al vehículo pulse y suelte el botón de ARMAR/DESARMAR en el transmisor
de llavero.
" El indicador LED rojo montado en el tablero de instrumentos se apagará.
Si se selecciona el armado pasivo, el indicador LED comenzará a parpadear
rápidamente, para indicar que el sistema se está rearmando automáticamente.
Abra cualquier puerta para suspender el armado automático.
" Las luces de estacionamiento parpadean dos veces.
Si las luces de estacionamiento parpadearon tres veces, entonces la alarma ha
sido activada en su ausencia. Antes de encender el vehículo con la llave,
examine el LED para identificar la zona activada.
" La sirena emite dos chirridos.
Si la sirena emite 4 chirridos entonces la alarma ha sido activada en su ausencia.
Antes de encender el vehículo con la llave, examine el LED y refiérase a la
sección de SEÑALES DE ADVERTENCIA DE ENTRADA INDEBIDA de este manual
para identificar la zona activada.
Si la sirena no sonó durante el desarmado, entonces los chirridos han sido
suprimidos, y usted debe referirse a la sección titulada “SUPRESIÓN DE LOS
CHIRRIDOS DE ARMADO/DESARMADO” de este manual.
NOTA: Cuando quiera el sistema se desarma, la unidad rearmará automáticamente a
menos que una puerta se abra. Esto ocurrirá sin tener en cuenta el método
armando seleccionado.

 DESACTIVACIÓN SILENCIOSA
1. Cuando se vaya acercando al vehículo, oprima y mantenga apretado el botón de
destrabado del transmisor de llavero por 2 segundos.
" El indicador LED de color rojo montado en el tablero de instrumentos se
apaga. Si se eligió la activación pasiva durante la instalación, el indicador
LED comenzará a destellar rápidamente, indicando que el sistema se
volverá a activar en forma automática. Abra cualquier puerta para
suspender la activación automática.
" Las luces de estacionamiento destellan dos veces.
Si las luces de estacionamiento destellan tres veces, se disparó la
alarma en su ausencia. Antes de poner la llave en el contacto, examine
el indicador LED para identificar qué zona se disparó.
" La sirena no sonará.
Si la sirena emite 4 “chirridos”, se disparó la alarma en su ausencia.
Antes de poner la llave en el contacto, examine el indicador L.E.D. y
consulte la sección SEÑALES DE ADVERTENCIA DE INTRUSIÓN de
este manual para identificar qué zona se disparó.

La nota: Este rasgo debe seleccionarse durante la instalación

SEÑALES DE ADVERTENCIA DE ENTRADA INDEBIDA

El sistema le informará si ha ocurrido un intento de entrada indebida mientras usted estaba
alejado de su vehículo. Si ha ocurrido un intento de entrada indebida, la sirena emitirá 4
chirridos y las luces de estacionamiento parpadearán 3 veces cuando desarma el sistema.
Entre en el vehículo y observe el indicador LED rojo montado en el tablero de instrumentos
para identificar la zona activada.
Si el indicador LED parpadea dos veces ... pausa ... dos veces ... pausa ... etc., entonces
el intento de entrada indebida fue en un conmutador de clavija de capó o baúl añadido al
sistema, o a un punto de acceso activado por luz si la alarma se instaló usando la característica
de detección de voltaje.
Si el indicador LED parpadea tres veces ... pausa ... tres veces ... pausa ... etc., entonces
el intento de entrada indebida ocurrió a través de una de las puertas del vehículo.
Las señales de advertencia de entrada indebida están registradas en la memoria del sistema
y sólo se borrarán cuando la llave de encendido del vehículo se ponga en encendido.

CONMUTADOR DE APARCACOCHES
El conmutador de aparcacoches le permite sobrepasar provisionalmente todas las funciones
de la alarma, eliminando la necesidad de entregar su transmisor a los aparcacoches o
mecánicos de servicio. Cuando el sistema se encuentra en el modo de aparcacoches, se
sobrepasan todas las funciones de alarma. No obstante, la característica de emergencia
remota, bloqueo de puertas remoto y modo antisecuestro asegurado permanecerán
activados. Para usar el modo de aparcacoches, primero el sistema debe desarmarse,
usando su transmisor de llavero o anulando manualmente el sistema.
1. Entre en el vehículo y ponga la llave de encendido en la posición encendida.
2. Dentro de 5 segundos presione y sujete el boton interruptor.
El LED activará y permanecerá activo mientras este en ese modo.
3. Devolver al funcionamiento normal activan el interruptor de la ignición y entonces
activan el aparcacoches.

 NOTA: Recuerde terminar el modo de servicio para asegurar que las partes del
vehiculo. Esten protegidas en todo momento.

ANULACIÓN MANUAL DE SU SISTEMA:

CÓMO USAR LA ANULACIÓN MANUAL DEL CONMUTADOR DE APARCACOCHES
Su sistema de seguridad puede desarmarse sin usar un transmisor de llavero. Esto es
necesario, ya que usted necesitará un medio de para operar su vehículo si se pierde el
transmisor o la pila se descarga.
Para sobrepasar el sistema de alarma:
1. Abra la puerta del vehículo. La alarma sonará.
2. Ponga la llave de encendido en la posición encendida.
3. Dentro de 5 segundos, ponga el conmutador de aparcacoches en la posición encendida.
El sistema de alarma dejará de sonar. Ahora usted podrá encender y operar el vehículo de
modo normal.
Típicamente, este modo de anulación sólo se usa si el transmisor ha dejado de funcionar.
Usted puede elegir para entrar en el modo del criado hasta reparación o reemplazo del
transmisor. Después de la reparación, sea cierto devolver el sistema al funcionamiento
normal como muestra en la sección del interruptor del criado

ELIMINACIÓN DE LOS CHIRRIDOS NORMALES DE ACTIVACIÓN / DESACTIVACIÓN

Como se explicó anteriormente en el manual, se puede eliminar los chirridos en forma
selectiva cada vez que se activa o desactiva el sistema, si se mantiene oprimido el botón
ACTIVACIÓN / DESACTIVACIÓN (ARM / DISARM) durante dos segundos. Si le molestan los
chirridos normales de activación y desactivación, puede apagarlos en forma permanente,
con lo que eliminará la necesidad de oprimir el botón de ACTIVACIÓN / DESACTIVACIÓN
(ARM / DISARM) durante dos segundos. Para ello proceda de la siguiente manera:
1. Encienda y apague la llave de contacto.
2. A los 10 segundos, oprima y suelte el interruptor valet tres veces.
3. Si los chirridos estaban conectados antes de empezar, entonces oirá 2 chirridos que le
indican que los ha desconectado. Si los chirridos estaban desconectados antes de
empezar, entonces oirá un chirrido que le indica que los ha conectado.
NOTA: Cuando se deriven los chirridos, siempre funcionará el indicador de intrusión de 4
chirridos y el indicador de defectos de 3 chirridos. Los mismos no se pueden
eliminar, pues son advertencias importantes de que algo ha sucedido.

INTERRUPTOR VALET:
El interruptor valet le permite anular transitoriamente todas las funciones de la alarma y
eliminar la necesidad de entregar el transmisor a los encargados de estacionar coches o a
los mecánicos de un garaje. Cuando el sistema se encuentra en la modalidad valet, todas las
funciones de la alarma quedan anuladas, sin embargo, la función en situaciones de pánico
y la de trabado de las puertas a control remoto seguirán en funcionamiento. Para usar la
modalidad valet primero debe desactivar el sistema con el transmisor de llavero o con la
secuencia manual de invalidación.
1.Con el sistema desactivado, ponga la llave de contacto en la posición de
encendido.
2. Oprima y mantenga apretado el interruptor valet hasta que el indicador LED
(diodo emisor de luz) montado en el tablero de instrumentos se encienda. El
indicador LED permanecerá encendido mientras el sistema esté en la modalidad
valet.

 3. Para volver al funcionamiento normal, oprima y suelte el interruptor en cualquier
momento en que el vehículo esté con el contacto encendido.
NOTA: Después de algún servicio de reparación o mantenimiento en el taller, recuerde
siempre que tiene que volver el sistema a la modalidad NO VALET para asegurarse
de que el vehículo esté protegido todo el tiempo.

CAPTURA MANUAL CON EL INTERRUPTOR VALET

Se puede desactivar el sistema de seguridad sin usar el transmisor de llavero. Esto es
necesario en caso de que pierda el transmisor o que no funcione, y tenga que manejar el
vehículo. Si se eligió la captura manual con el interruptor valet, según se indica en la última
página de este manual. (para derivar el sistema de alarma):
1. Abra la puerta del vehículo. Sonará la alarma.
2. Ponga la llave de contacto en la posición de encendido.
3. A los 5 segundos oprima y suelte el interruptor valet.
La sirena dejará de sonar y desactivará el sistema. Ahora podrá encender el motor y usar
el vehículo en forma normal.
Normalmente este modo de desactivación se usa únicamente si el transmisor no funciona.
Puede colocarlo en la modalidad VALET hasta que repare o reemplace el transmisor, después
de lo cual deberá volver el sistema al modo de funcionamiento normal. Para hacerlo,
consulte el punto 3 de la sección titulada INTERRUPTOR VALET.

Programación del código de invalidación personal

A diferencia de los interruptores de invalidación fáciles de encontrar y anular, este sistema
de seguridad le permite programar un código de invalidación personal, ofreciéndole un nivel
mayor de seguridad. Para hacer uso de esta opción, debe elegir la característica de
programación número 10 de la opción de código personal. Consulte el centro de instalación
para obtener detalles de programación. El sistema viene con un código de invalidación
previamente programado en fábrica: el número 11. Para cambiar este código de invalidación
haga lo siguiente:
1. Desactive el sistema con el transmisor o con la secuencia de invalidación de
emergencia. Mueva el interruptor de encendido a la posición de encendido.
2. A los 10 segundos oprima y suelte el interruptor valet/captura manual, 3 veces.
3. A los 10 segundos mueva el interruptor de encendido a la posición de apagado,
encendido, apagado, encendido, apagado y encendido.
(La sirena o la bocina emitirá un sonido de aviso y las luces destellarán una vez).
4. A los 10 segundos empiece a ingresar el dígito elegido para los décimos,
oprimiendo y soltando el interruptor de 1 a 9 veces.
5. A los 10 segundos de haber ingresado el último dígito de los décimos, mueva el
interruptor de encendido a posición de apagado y luego a encendido.
6. A los 10 segundos empiece a ingresar el número elegido correspondiente a las
unidades, oprimiendo y soltando el interruptor de 1 a 9 veces.
7. Termine moviendo el interruptor de encendido a la posición de apagado.
Si el nuevo código es aceptado, la unidad le informará el nuevo código ingresado, el indica-
dor LED destellará indicando primero el dígito de los décimos, pausa y luego el dígito de las
unidades. La unidad le informará el nuevo código tres veces con una pausa de un segundo
entre un código y el otro, luego el sistema iniciará la activación. Si el indicador LED destella
indicando el código que tenía previamente programado, entonces el nuevo código no fue
ingresado correctamente. Repita los pasos 1 a 7 antes indicados, teniendo en cuenta lo
siguiente.

 NOTA: Los números correspondientes a los décimos y a las unidades aceptables son 1
a 9. La unidad no reconocerá el 0 (cero), o si no ingresa ningún número, ya sea
para los décimos como para las unidades.
NOTA: Si pasan 15 segundos sin actividad alguna, o bien si apaga el interruptor de
encendido durante más de 5 segundos en cualquiera de los pasos anteriores, la
unidad volverá al último código almacenado con buen resultado.
Ejemplo de programación con código personal
Para cambiar el código previamente asignado en fábrica de 11 a “52” haga lo siguiente:
1. Desactive el sistema con el transmisor o con la secuencia de invalidación de
emergencia.
2. Mueva el interruptor de encendido a la posición de encendido.
3. A los 10 segundos oprima y suelte el interruptor valet/captura manual, 3 veces.
4. A los 10 segundos mueva el interruptor de encendido a la posición de apagado,
encendido, apagado, encendido, apagado y encendido.
(La sirena o la bocina emitirá un sonido de aviso y las luces destellarán una vez).
5. A los 10 segundos, comience a oprimir y soltar el interruptor para ajustar el
número correspondiente a los décimos.
(Por ejemplo, oprima y suelte 5 veces para colocar el número de los décimos en 5.)
6. A los 10 segundos de haber oprimido por última vez el botón pulsador, mueva
el interruptor de encendido a la posición de apagado y luego a encendido.
7. A los 10 segundos, comience a oprimir y soltar el interruptor para ajustar el
número correspondiente a las unidades.
(Por ejemplo, oprima y suelte 2 veces para colocar el número de las unidades en 2.)
8. Mueva el interruptor de encendido a la posición de apagado. Observe
inmediatamente el patrón de destellos del indicador LED
Notará que el indicador LED destella cinco veces, pausa y luego dos veces,
pausa. Este patrón se repetirá tres veces para indicar que se ha aceptado el
nuevo código (52) y que se guardó en la memoria.
NOTA: Si después del paso 8 el indicadorED destella un código diferente al que acaba de
ingresar, ello indica que el código no cambió. Deberá repetir los pasos 1 al 7 antes
indicados, teniendo en cuenta lo siguiente:
Los números correspondientes a los décimos o a las unidades son 1 a 9. La unidad
no reconocerá el 0 (cero), o si no ingresa ningún número, ya sea para las decenas
como para las unidades.
NOTA: Si pasan 15 segundos sin actividad alguna, o bien si apaga el interruptor de encen
dido durante más de 5 segundos en cualquiera de los pasos anteriores, la unidad
volverá al último código almacenado con buen resultado.
CAPTURA MANUAL DEL SISTEMA
USO DEL CÓDIGO DE INVALIDACIÓN PERSONAL
Suponga que no ha cambiado código de invalidación programable y el código predeterminado
y almacenado en la memoria del sistema es 11.
1. Entre al vehículo y mueva el interruptor de encendido a la posición de encendido.
NOTA: Sonará la alarma.
2. A los 5 segundos, oprima y suelte el interruptor 1 vez.
3. A los 5 segundos mueva el interruptor de encendido a la posición de apagado y luego
encendido.
4. A los 5 segundos, oprima y suelte el interruptor 1 vez.
5. Mueva el interruptor de encendido a la posición de apagado, luego encendido y arran-
que el vehículo.

 NOTA: Si ha cambiado el código de invalidación programable y luego reemplazado los
décimos del código nuevo en el paso 2 anterior y las unidades según el paso 5.
CÓMO ANULAR EL SENSOR CON EL TRANSMISOR
Este sistema tiene la capacidad de permitirle anular el sensor con el transmisor, en su
totalidad o en parte durante un ciclo de activación. Para eliminar el sensor durante un ciclo
de activación:
Oprima el botón de activación del transmisor una vez para activar el sistema.
Si a los 3 segundos de activado el sistema oprime el botón de activación una vez.
La sirena emitirá 1 chirrido corto seguido de 1 sonido largo.
Con esto anula la etapa de predetección del sensor y permite que siga funcionando la
etapa de activación total.
Si a los 3 segundos de activado el sistema oprime el botón de activación dos veces.
La sirena emitirá 1 chirrido largo seguido de 1 sonido corto.
Con esto anula la etapa de activación total del sensor y permite que siga funcionando la
etapa de predetección.
Si a los 3 segundos de activado el sistema oprime el botón de activación tres veces.
La sirena emitirá 2 sonidos largos.
Con ello anula las dos etapas del sensor, la de predetección y la de detección total.
Una vez que desactive el sistema, el sensor volverá a su funcionamiento normal en el
próximo ciclo de activación a no ser que repita el procedimiento anterior.
Si transcurren más de 3 segundos y oprime el botón de activación / desactivación, la sirena
emitirá 2 chirridos cortos y desactivará el sistema.
CUANDO SUENE EL SISTEMA
Si quiere apagar la sirena sin desactivar el sistema de seguridad cuando se haya
disparado, oprima y suelte cualquier botón del transmisor salvo el botón de
desactivación. Así apagará la sirena pero dejará el sistema activado y el vehículo
estará completamente protegido. Esta característica es particularmente útil cuando sabe
que hay niños jugando cerca del vehículo y que accidentalmente pueden disparar el
sistema de seguridad. En este caso puede anual el sonido de la sirena sin desactivar la
alarma.
OPERACIÓN REMOTA EN SITUACIONES DE PÁNICO
El botón de ACTIVACIÓN (ARM) o DESACTIVACIÓN (DISARM) del transmisor de llavero
funciona también como un interruptor para situaciones de pánico que se puede usar en
casos de emergencia. Para usar esta función de situaciones de pánico:
1. Oprima y mantenga apretado el botón de ACTIVACIÓN (ARM) o
DESACTIVACIÓN (DISARM) del transmisor de llavero por 3 segundos o más.
La alarma sonará inmediatamente.
2. Para apagar la alarma, oprima y mantenga apretado nuevamente el botón de
ACTIVACIÓN (ARM) o DESACTIVACIÓN (DISARM) del transmisor por 3
segundos. Si no oprime el botón, la alarma dejará de sonar automáticamente a
los 30 segundos. Asimismo, si oprime y suelta un botón del transmisor que no
sea el de ACTIVACIÓN (ARM) o DESACTIVACIÓN (DISARM) se apagará
inmediatamente el modo de situaciones de pánico. La función normal de este
botón del transmisor quedará suspendida durante el período sonoro en la
situación de pánico.
3. Durante el modo de situaciones de pánico, pueden usarse los botones de
trabado y destrabado para trabar y destrabar las puertas (si la opción está
instalada), sin embargo una vez que oprima el botón de trabado / destrabado,
se desactivará la función de desactivación del arrancador (si está instalada)
y se podrá arrancar el vehículo.

 NOTA: Durante el modo de situaciones de pánico, al oprimir los botones de ACTIVACIÓN
(ARM) o DESACTIVACIÓN (DISARM) trabará y destrabará las puertas respectivamente, si
la opción está instalada.
Durante el modo de pánico, cada vez que oprima el botón de DESACTIVACIÓN (DISARM)
la función de situaciones de pánico continuará los 30 segundos asignados, sin embargo,
el sistema de seguridad quedará desactivado y se podrá arrancar el vehículo.

FUNCIÓN REMOTA ADICIONAL (CANAL 2)

Este sistema de seguridad cuenta con una característica adicional que puede conectarse a
una diversidad de accesorios opcionales distintos. Algunos de los usos más comunes de
este canal son:
# Desenganche remoto de baúl
# Encendido remoto de vehículo
# Cierre remoto de ventanas
# Interconexión de control remoto de puerta de garaje
Para activar el accesorio opcional, pulse y mantenga pulsado el botón 2 en el transmisor de
llavero durante cuatro segundos.
NOTA: La operacion del canal alterno 2 es controlada presionando y release/version el
boton 2 del transmisor dos veces en la sucesion. Consulte su centro de la instalacion
para las opciones que se pudieron haber conectado con este canal.
FUNCION ALEJADA ADICIONAL (el CANAL 3)
Este sistema de la seguridad tiene una caracteristica adicional que se pueda conectar
con un numero de diversos accesorios opcionales. Algunas de las aplicaciones mas
comunes para este canal son;
# Desenganche remoto de baúl
# Encendido remoto de vehículo
# Cierre remoto de ventanas
# Interconexión de control remoto de puerta de garaje
para activar el accesorio opcional, la prensa y el desbloquear abotonan 3 en el
transmisor del keychain para 1 segundo operacion o presionan y sostienen para la operacion
continuada de esta salida.

FUNCIÓN REMOTA ADICIONAL (CANAL 4)

El modo antisecuestro puede activarse desde el transmisor si el receptor ha sido programado
para esta característica. Consulte con su centro de instalación para información relacionada
con esta característica, y el botón del transmisor que debe usarse para activar el modo
antisecuestro. Una vez programada, para activar la característica antisecuestro desde el
transmisor en cualquier momento debe estar en posicion de encendido la llave. Ahora
presione y mantenga presionado durante un segundo el botón del transmisor del canal tres
preprogramado. Esto iniciará el modo antisecuestro. Luego, el LED y las luces de
estacionamiento se encenderán durante 5 segundos para confirmar la activación.

OPERACIÓN DEL MODO ANTISECUESTRO

Si se selecciona esta característica en encendido, cada vez que encienda el vehículo y
cierre todas las puertas, se activará el modo antisecuestro. Esta característica es automá-
tica y no se requiere acción del operador. Cuando la llave de encendido se encuentra en

 encendido y el vehículo está en operación, si se abre una puerta del vehículo y luego se
cierra, se inicia el modo antisecuestro (véase Demora de inicio de modo antisecuestro en la
última página de este manual). Después de la demora de inicio, la unidad comenzará su ciclo
de activación de 4 etapas, que termina cuando el motor del vehículo se apaga.
A continuación se ofrece una descripción de las 4 etapas de apagado.
Etapa 1 Esta etapa comienza después de la demora inicial de 15 ó 45 segundos. (Véase
el ajuste de tiempo de inicio en la última página de este manual). El LED comenzará
a parpadear durante 15 segundos. Si el modo antisecuestro se ha activado por
el operador por error, este parpadeo inicial del LED da al operador el tiempo
suficiente para desactivar el modo antisecuestro antes de que suene la sirena.
Esto se logra pulsando el botón oculto de anulación del modo antisecuestro.
Etapa 2: Durante los siguientes 30 segundos, a intervalos de 10 segundos, la sirena
emitirá un solo chirrido. Las señales de chirrido tienen por finalidad servir de
advertencia que la próxima etapa iniciará la secuencia de apagado, primero
haciendo que el motor titubee y luego que se apague en la etapa 4.
Etapa 3: Durante los siguientes 30 segundos, la unidad comenzará a parpadear las luces
de estacionamiento, sonará la sirena y pulsará el mecanismo de encendido para
que se encienda y apague. Esta etapa llama la atención al vehículo, al parpadear
las luces, sonara la sirena e pulsara el circuito de encendido, haciendo que el
motor se desacelere.
Etapa 4: En este punto, el circuito de encendido ha quedado inhibido, (el vehículo se apaga),
la sirena sigue sonando, y las luces siguen parpadeando. Después de 30
segundos, la sirena dejará de sonar, pero el encendido permanece inhibido y las
luces siguen parpadeando. Debido a que el motor ha quedado deshabilitado,
típicamente el ladrón saldrá del vehículo.
Si usted es una desafortunada víctima de un secuestro vehicular, para su propia seguridad
personal, es preferible salir del vehículo tan rápidamente como sea posible. Nunca trate de
oponerse al ladrón de ninguna manera. Si el ladrón le impide salir del vehículo, desarme la
característica antisecuestro para evitar que el sistema suene mientras usted se encuentre
en presencia de su secuestrador. Una vez que salga del vehículo, la acción de abrir y
cerrar la puerta iniciará la característica antisecuestro y el vehículo quedará deshabilitado
después de completarse las 4 etapas arriba descritas.
NOTA: Si en cualquier momento durante la etapa tres o cuatro, el encendido se apaga y
luego se enciende, el sistema permitirá que el vehículo se encienda una vez durante
15 segundos. Luego, el circuito comenzará a pulsar el circuito de encendido para
encender y apagarlo durante 15 segundos adicionales, después de lo cual el
encendido quedará inhibido hasta que la unidad se reajuste. Esto tiene por finalidad
permitir que el vehículo se mueva fuera de la carretera, alejado del tráfico. Las luces
de estacionamiento continuarán parpadeando después de un intento de secuestro,
hasta que el circuito se reajuste. Esto tiene por finalidad asegurar que el vehículo
quede altamente visible, sin importar el lugar donde puede haber sido abandonado.

CÓMO DESARMAR LA CARACTERÍSTICA ANTISECUESTRO

En cualquier momento después de la activación del modo antisecuestro, el circuito puede
desarmarse, simplemente pulsando el conmutador pulsador oculto. Al pulsar este
conmutador una vez, el sistema de seguridad reajustará el modo antisecuestro. El circuito
no se activará de nuevo salvo que se abra y luego se cierre la puerta cuando el vehículo
está en operación.

 MODO DE OPERACIÓN ASEGURADO
El modo de operación asegurado está disponible sin importar que esté o no habilitada la
característica antiscuestro normal. Esta característica puede programarse para operar
cada vez que el sistema de alarma se arme (pasivo), o sólo cuando se active el conmutador
pulsador oculto (activo). El modo asegurado se emplea en áreas donde el operador del
vehículo está vulnerable a ataque al regreso a su automóvil. Los estacionamientos de
centros comerciales, calles oscuras, entradas ocultas, son lugares típicos donde un ladrón
puede esconderse para esperar que el operador regrese a su vehículo. Con la unidad en el
modo asegurado, el dueño del vehículo no tiene problema para entregar las llaves sin
resistencia al ladrón, con la confianza de saber que el vehículo no puede llevarse muy lejos.
Para entrar en el modo asegurado (pasivo)
1. Salga del vehículo, cierre todas las puertas.
2. Si se selecciona el sistema de alarma para el armado de alarma pasivo, deje que
el vehículo se arme.
3. Si se selecciona el sistema de alarma para el armado activo de la alarma, pulse el botón
de armado del transmisor de llavero. (Nota: El indicador LED se enciende durante 5
segundos para indicar que se ha activado debidamente el modo asegurado).
Para entrar en el modo asegurado (activo)
1. Apague el mecanismo de encendido.
2. Pulse una vez el conmutador oculto de habilitación/anulación del modo antisecuestro.
El indicador LED se enciende durante 5 segundos, para indicar que se ha activado
debidamente el modo asegurado.
3. Salga del vehículo, cierre todas las puertas y arme su sistema de seguridad usando el
transmisor de llavero.
(Nota: La característica de modo antisecuestro asegurado operará con o sin el sistema de
seguridad armado).
Estando en el modo asegurado, si se activa el encendido, el sistema de seguridad entrará en
el modo antisecuestro y seguirá las 4 etapas de apagado según lo descrito arriba.
NOTA: El modo asegurado también puede activarse estando en el modo de aparcacoches.
Pulse el botón pulsador oculto una vez antes de salir del vehículo, según se describe
arriba. En este caso, el indicador LED se apagará durante 5 segundos, para indicar
que se ha activado debidamente el modo asegurado.
Cómo salir del modo asegurado:
Al regresar al vehículo:
1. Si está armado, desarme su sistema de seguridad.
2. Entre en el vehículo, cierre todas las puertas. Pulse y suelte el conmutador oculto de
anulación del modo antisecuestro. El indicador LED parpadeará 5 veces para indicar
que se ha desarmado debidamente el modo antisecuestro asegurado.
3. Encienda su vehículo, y se reanude la operación normal.
NOTA: Si se olvida de salir del modo asegurado, y activa por error la unidad, simplemente
pulse el conmutador oculto de anulación (con o sin el encendido activado), la unidad
se desarmará y se reanudará la operación normal.
