“""The Advanced English Proficiency was added as an institutional special general
elective course with the aim of further enhancing the communication skills of the
students. This is also added to prepare the students for their job application and other
demands in the workplace related to the use of the English language for effective
‘communication skills. Finally, this is in ine with the vision of the institution of producing
global citizens.
No bridging program is required for graduates of the Senior High School Pre-
Baccalaureate and Technical Vocational Maritime Strands.
The following additional courses shall be required for the following students:

2. Introduction to Marine Transportation and Marine Engineering - 3 units

Additional Notes:

NSTP (ROTC) 1 and 2 were transferred to second year given the current
restrictions on face-to-face leaming modality.
In addition, PE 1 (Basic Swimming) and PE2 (Advanced Swimming), which were
originally included in the course offerings during the first year, are transferred to
‘second year course offerings and now labeled as PE 3 and PE 4 respectively. This
is a curriculum modification, which is aimed to mitigate the spread of the contagion
and to ensure learners’ safety. Accordingly, the previous PE3 (Dual Sports) and
PE4 (Team Sports) are renamed as PE1 (Physical Conditioning) and PE2
(Physical Strengthening) to support mental, physical, and emotional well-being of
the learners in the midst of the emergency crisis situation. The modified PE1 and
PE2 comprise the course offerings for first year students effective AY 2020-2021.
The Filipino was replaced by General Education electives in compliance with
CHED on the Supreme Court decision on the removal of the said course and CHED
new General Education guidelines.
Ship Familiarization as a required training will be scheduled during non-peak
season to mitigate financial cost and to ensure optimum learning of the students,
whereas Basic Training, Engine Watch and Seafarers Designated Security Duties
are scheduled before Completion of Classroom Instructions (C1).
10. Microsoft Certification Training is a required academic training to improve digital

6. NSTP (ROTC) 1 and 2 were transferred to second year given the current
restrictions on face-to-face learning modality.
7. In addition, PE 1 (Basic Swimming) and PE2 (Advanced Swimming), which were
originally included in the course offerings during the first year, are transferred to
second year course offerings and now labeled as PE 3 and PE 4 respectively. This
is a curriculum modification which is aimed to mitigate the spread of the contagion
and to ensure leamers’ safety. Accordingly, the previous PES (Dual Sports) and
PE4 (Team Sports) are renamed as PE1 (Physical Conditioning) and PE2
(Physical Strengthening) to support mental, physical and emotional well- being of
the leamers in the midst of the emergency crisis situation. The modified PE1 and
PE2 comprise the course offerings for first year students effective AY 2020-2021.
8. The Filipino was replaced by General Education electives in compliance with
CHED on the Supreme Court decision on the removal of the said course and CHED
new General Education guidelines.
9. Ship Familiarization as a required training will be scheduled during non-peak
season to mitigate financial cost and to ensure optimum learning of the students,
whereas Basic Training, Engine Watch and Seafarers Designated Security Duties
are scheduled before Completion of Classroom Instructions (CCI).
10. Microsoft Certification Training is a required academic training to improve digital
literacy skills of the students and enhance their qualifications.
