The Alacan Republic Alacan Republic Initiative: -2

The Alacan people are felinod, descended from a carnivorous Alacan Republic Special Rules
species that once hunted across the fast plains of their verdant world. Over
the course of their development as a species, they fought an almost endless League of Non-Aligned Worlds: Alacan ships may be used in a League fleet
series of wars against each other. The Alacans eventually developed a sense
of enlightenment, abandoning their warlike ways. In part, this was due to before 2228. Ships with may be used in a League of Non-Aligned

The Alacans had the misfortune of being located near the Dilgar,
another race the Abbai had been keeping a close eye on over their
development. The Dilgar had discovered the Abbai spy satellites some years
before, and rather than destroy them, had instead installed a deception
system to keep the Abbai from learning their turn intentions. Thus, both
the Abbai and Alacans were equally taken by surprise when the Dilgar
invaded the Alacan system in February 2228. The resulting battle was as
bloody as it was swift, but the valiant Alacan defenders never had a chance.
