1) What is Scratch?
Ans. Scratch is the computer programming language that makes it easy and fun to
create interactive stories, games and animations and share them online.
2) What is Animation?
Ans. Animation is a way of making a movie by using a series of drawings or
photographs of object that are slightly moves.
3) Write the name of all components of Scratch.
Ans. Components of Scratch.

4) What is Sprites?
Ans. A sprite is a small graphical object that moves independently around the
stage, producing animation effect.
5) What is Costume in Scratch?
Ans. A costume is an alternate appearance of a sprite. It means different types of
sprite dresses.
6) How many Editing tool for a sprite?
Ans. Editing Tools- Duplicate, Delete, Grow Sprite, Shrink Sprite
7) What is the function of background in scratch?
Ans. The function of Background to provide the stage area colouful and attractive.
8) What is the extension of Scratch file?
Ans. (.Sb) is the extension of scratch file.
9) Write the steps to save a Scratch project.
Ans. Saving a project:-
i. Step:-1 click the File menu
ii. Step:-2 Click the Save As…… option
Or,

Press “Ctrl + S” key on keyboard.

iii. Select the location and enter a File name


iv. Enter your name in the field project author
v. Enter some information about the project in the field about the project.
vi. Click the ok button.
10) Write the steps to open a project.
Ans. Opening a project:-
i. Step:-1 click on the File menu
ii. Step:-2 click the open option.
iii. Step:-3 Select the location and desire file.
iv. Step:-4 Click ok button.
11) What is pixel?
Ans. A pixel is one of the small units that make up an image on a computer or
television screen.
12) How many ways are available to create personal sprites and
backgrounds?
Ans. There are two ways to create personal sprites and background as follows.
i. Users can draw their own sprite manually with “Paint Editor” provided.
ii. User can choose a sprite from the Scratch library that contains default
sprite.
13) What is the main use of Scratch?
Ans. Scratch introduces the basics of programming in an easy and fun manner as
it provides a graphical user environment that makes the learning of scratch easy.
It also helps students to think creatively and work collaboratively.
14) What is stage in scratch?
Ans. Stages is the main working area where the sprite moves and performs
actions.
15) How many types of Block in Scratch?
Ans. There are eight types of Block in Scratch.
i. Motion
ii. Pen
iii. Control
iv. Variable
v. Sensing
vi. Operator
vii. Sound
