2. In order to protect the legitimate interests of users, please contact jiangxi isuzu engine co., ltd.
or the nearest maintenance service agent in time if you have any questions.
3. Please use special diesel fuel with the fuel surface between the grease marks.
4. Use long-acting (rust-resistant) coolant to prevent frost cracking and cylinder pull.
5. Users should replace the air filter, engine filter and diesel filter in time according to the
environmental conditions.
6. Do not let water enter the air filter so as not to damage the diesel engine.

298K, dry airpressure: 99Kpa, partial pressure of water vapor: 1Kpa, relative humidity: 3O%).

Using the diesel engine accurately, not only can it keep working rightly, but also prolong the
longevity of engine.
1. lnitial preparation
Please check the following items before starting the diesel engine:
a. When starting the diesel engine for the first time, please check the fasteners, accessories
and control devices. Only when everything is in good condition can the diesel engine be
started.
b. Check the water level and whether the drain switch is off. Check fan belt tightness.
c. Check whether the fuel is properly filled and ensure that all fuel pipes and fuel systems are
connected properly.
d. Check lubricating oil. Whether filling and filling volume is appropriate.Unused engines
need to be lubricated.
e. Check the battery. Whether the battery electrolyte is appropriate and sufficient power.
2. lgnition steps
a. Put the gear into neutral.
b. he new diesel engine needs to remove air from the fuel system by loosening the eThaust
valve of the high−pressure fuel pipe.
c. Release the clutch and start without load.
d. When starting the engine, the continuous running time of the starter should not exceed 5
seconds.
e. If the engine fails to start on three attempts (the interval between the two attempts must be
more than 20 seconds), try again after finding and resolving the problem.
4. Stall
When the user is ready to turn off the engine, first slow down the high speed to low speed and
run at low speed for 2−3 minutes. Then stop the engine. This will allow the engine to cool down
and prevent parts from deforming. Users should release water after parking during freezing
season. Operation mode: open the drain screw.
If you want to keep the diesel engine in good technical condition and work for you reliably for
a long time, please carry out regular inspection and technical maintenance according to the
technical specifications.
1. Fuel System
Fuel pump and injectors are precision components. Water or impurities in the fuel can strain
the plunger or injector, dirty or clogged the filter, and dirty fuel can reduce the service life of
the pump and injector. Please conduct regular inspection according to the following conditions.
Fuel filter replacement cycle: every 6 months or 2OO hours of accumulative work under the
condition of ensuring fuel cleanness. If fuel impurities and water content is high, shorten the
cycle.
Replacement Procedure
Air entering the fuel system can cause engine starting difficulties and other engine failures.
During use or maintenance, if the fuel tank is emptied, the fuel system must be exhausted
after the fuel is refilled.

Notice:
- The piston type oil pump is installed on the front side of the fuel injection pump and
driven by eccentric wheel on the camshaft of the fuel injection pump.
- Fuel pump and governor are the heart of diesel engine, the performance of diesel engine
depends on the performance of fuel pump and governor to a large extent, fuel pump and
governor have been adjusted before the factory, and has been sealed, do not remove, if
maintenance and adjustment, must be carried out by professionals in the fuel pump test
bench.
2. Lubricating System
Failure to maintain the engine lubrication system will greatly affect the service life of the
engine. Please replace the oil and oil filter according to the specified maintenance cycle.
It should be replaced according to the following steps to synchronous change lubricating oil
and oil filter.
The warning light for oil pressure is on during operation of the engine indicating filter clogged.
Replace it immediately regardless of the specified maintenance cycle.
Replacement Cycle
- Oil filter: 3 months or the accumulative work 100 hours Oil filling capacity:
- Oil staff gauge’s upper reticule (when change oil filter core)
- Oil staff gauge’s middle reticule (when not change oil filter core)
3. Cooling system
Notice: If the cooling system requires frequent supplement of coolant fluid, please make a
check in maintenance service center.
The working condition of the intake system greatly affects the service life and performance
of the engine.
Dirty air filter elements can cause insufficient intake of air into the engine, resulting in
engine power loss and ultimately engine failure, shortening the service life of the engine.
Get rid of the dust on the element of air filter!
5. Battery
- The surface of battery shall be kept clean and dry. Any corrosive liquid shall be
washed away with alkaline water.
- The joint of battery shall be ensured clean and firm.
When the temperature is lower than 5ºC in winter, the diesel engine may freeze due to the
low temperature of the engine body and the high oil viscosity, which leads to the difficulty
of engine starting. Therefore, it is better to carry out a comprehensive technical
maintenance
before entering winter, and the following points should be paid attention to in use: 1¸Please
use 0#, −10−40 # diesel in winter.
2¸ Users should release water after parking in freezing season. Operation mode: open the
