MINUTES OF MEETING
DATE: September 30, 2022
VENUE: Paaralang Elementyarya ng Muzon
AGENDA: Addressing slow and non-readers
TIME: 3:00-4:00 PM

Parents are partners in education, especially in this time of Pandemic. “No school can work
well for children if parents and teachers do not act in partnership on behalf of the children’s best
interests.” That’s a quotation from Dorothy H. Cohen, believing that one of the keys to a child’s
success is the involvement of parents in their education. They influence and know their children’s
work habits, attitudes, and interests. They mostly have a greater ability to adapt to situations and
get along. That is why it is essential to have a parent orientation regarding the strengths and
weaknesses of their children. They need to know what to expect from their children’s school and
share their thoughts that will also benefit their children.
At Paaralang Elementarya ng Muzon, we value our students like their parents. On Friday,
September 30, 2022, at 3:00 in the afternoon, we conducted a parent orientation. We welcomed
parents of slow readers and non-readers to discuss the intervention needed for their children. We
started the program with an opening prayer, then we checked the attendance, and acknowledged
the parents who attended. Since most of their parents are busy working, there were few parents
who attended the meeting. Before the program ended, Ma’am Anna Comia, the school head, and
teachers, answered their questions/concerns about their child.
Without guidance from parents, the situation right now will be difficult for us, the teachers,
and the learners. The meeting ended successfully.
