MAFI MSS
In the MSS segment you will find all kinds of general steel structure products needed to build a reliable and
sustainable telecom site, for example freestanding platforms, support brackets, tubes and accessories. A
product that can fit or host equipment from any telecom equipment manufacturer is an MSS product and
constitutes a standard range. MSS products are stocked in our own and our distributors warehouses ready
for fast deliveries every day.

MAFI MIS
An MIS product is developed as an integrated part of a customer solution or product. That means that
every MAFI MIS product is tailor-made for our customers. MAFI is constantly developing new MIS products
for existing as well as new customers.

Designed to allow an equipment pole to be offset from

a parent pole or tower leg.

Flexibility
3273 is the smallest one and offers a maximum offset of
240 mm (9.4 in). 3263 and 3265 are the medium sized ones
and with two different U-bolt kits for a larger range of offset

members. Maximum offset for the 3263 is 420 mm (16.5 in) and
for 3265 with the largest offset member mounted is 397 mm
(15.6 in).
3272 has a maxmimum offset of 797 mm (31.4 in) and
incorporates a double clamp to cope with the high torque loads
imposed by antennas at that large offset. The hole pattern for
3272 is also suitable for option U-bolt kit 2867-1. This enables
offset members to range up to 114.3 mm (4.5 in).

Designed to provide support for two similar antennas

offseted symmetrically from a central parent pole. A third
antenna may be mounted on the parent pole.

Flexibility
3268 is the smaller one with a maximum offset of 422 mm
(16.6 in) between parent and offset pole. The bigger 3270
has a maximum offset of 850 mm (33.5 in). Maximum offset
between the two offset members are 844 mm (33.2 in) and
1700 mm (66.9 in) respectively.
The hole pattern for 3268 is also suitable for option U-bolt kit
3270
2867-1. This enables offset members to range up to 114.3 mm
(4.5 in).

Angle options for 3610

Designed for mounting an equipment pole on a raking parent

member in a perpendicular or oblique direction. The kits
consist of a pair of brackets with all necessary fasteners.

Flexibility
The raking tower leg offset can carry equipment up to
250 kg (551 lb), offset member included. This can be useful
when radio and antenna equipment is to be preassembled off
site and then lifted and mounted to a tower.
The hole pattern on the 3610 front clamp is designed to allow
oblique installation on angular tower legs.
The bracket arm can be ﬁxed at angles 45° or 60°, to the left
or right, of the parent member. Offset poles for either kit can
range from Ø 60.3–76.1 mm (2.4–3 in). When using the option
2867-1 the range increases up to 114.3 mm (4.5 in).

Flexibility
The Universal Remote Radio Bracket is developed to accomodate
remote radio units by Ericsson, Huawei and Nokia. See equipment

horizontal c/c wider than 80 mm (3.15 in) an extra bracket is needed.

This product is a portrait-style low profile back-to-back radio
mount that fits equipment with M10 fixed horizontal C-C 146

About the Product

Designed to accommodated a wide range of RRHs mounted on
different type of parent members (angular, square and tubular).

Flexibility
The single RRH Bracket 6070 has been engineered not only
for a fast installation, but also in order to carry a load up to 40
kg (88 Ib). The bracket is not only a well balance and robust
product, it’s perfectly designed to keep the distance between
the RHH and the parent member to a minimum in order to
not increase the impact of heavy wind loads and rotation slip
effect. MAFI 6072

The same goes for the dual version, 6072 which makes it
possible to install up to two RRHs on each side of the parent
member. (40 kg (88 Ib) /bracket)
All necessary fasteners are delivered with the 6070 or 6072
including bolts and nuts for anchoring the RRH. The bracket is
compatible with the following RRH (AHPMDA serie / AHPMDD
serie/ AHHB serie / AHEGB serie / AHEGC serie/ AZQJ serie ).

This larger version of antenna offset can handle a wide range
of tower and mast leg section. The brackets hole pattern ﬁts
either directly against the antenna or tilt brackets if used.
The antenna offset large is suitabel for larger and heavier MAFI 3119
antennas with a c/c between 32–72 mm (1.26–2.83 in).
The optional 31155 antenna adaptor kit allows mounting of
antennas with c/c 110 mm (4.33 in), 120 mm(4.72 in) and 150
mm (5.91 in).

Designed to provide ﬂexible bracing to a pole.

The struts can be ﬁtted as part of a new installation or
retroﬁtted to an existing pole. All that is required is two
structural attachment points within reach of the pole.
The attachment points can be horizontal, vertical or anything
in between. The kit consists of a pair of adjustable struts with
feet and a pole attachment bracket.

Flexibility
The 2230-family comprises three lengths of struts and two
standard sizes of pole attachment clamps available
to ﬁt poles with Ø 76.1 or 114.3 mm (3 in or 4.5 in).

How to calculate Top view

For an evenly distributed load the recommended angle
between struts is 90° as shown in the "Top view" picture.
The recommended angle between strut and parent
member is 45° as shown in the "Side view" picture.

Calculate strut length "b"

Follow this example to calculate the neccessary strut
length:
The strut is to be fastened at 2.2 meter on the parent

Designed to work as adaptor beams between a new pole
or enclosure and already existing structural beams on site
without drilling or welding.

Flexibility
The adaptor beams can be mounted either with clamps around
existing structural beams, or with spacers and washers on the
top flange when there is no space underneath the structural
beams. Requires no drilling or welding on site.

Overturning resistance
For these adaptor beams the critical dimensioning parameter Option 4316 Enclosure mounted with washers
is the resistance torque and reaction forces when ultimate

Design resistance data
Use the table below to check for rotational slip when mounting brackets on a circular member.
Use the unfactored wind load on the equipment multiplied by the actual offset dimension from the centreline of the parent tube
to the centroid of the equipment to calculate the applied torque. The unfactored load is to be used because rotational slip is
regarded as a serviceability failure and not a strength failure.
The values shown in the table are for a single bracket, so for a normal pair of brackets, the total torque resistance would be
double that shown in the table.
Each bracket added to the offset pole increases rotational slip resistance by the ﬁgure shown in the table. The resistance
increases linearly with the diameter of the parent pole.

Guidance
MAFI brackets are flexible – they can ﬁt different sizes and proﬁles of parent member, and the offset distance can be varied.
This table allows a quick comparison of load capacity, parent member, offset member and offset range. Please read our
disclaimer found on page 4.

It’s OK to have the pole a size less than the U-bolt. A U-bolt works by squeezing the pole against the bracket through the
tangential point of contact, not by gripping the sides of the pole. It's important to follow the installation instructions regarding
the speciﬁed nut-tightening torque. The tightening torque is calculated for every MAFI U-bolt leg or threaded rod to produce the
required tension. It's not going to slip if it's installed properly.

Load Capacity is the maximum mass (equipment plus offset member) that you can hang on a pair of brackets at the maximum
offset. Extra brackets can be added to increase the load capacity proportionately e.g. two pairs of brackets supporting a single
offset member can carry double the mass of a single pair.
In addition to the permitted equipment mass, brackets mounted at least as a pair can support a 160 kg rigger standing on the
end, exceptions are 53XX and 4324X.

Exceptions are 3274, 53XX and 4324X. If a fall arrest event would occur, all involved brackets should be replaced.
