Duties.
• Preparation of Vehicle shell.
• Mask and sheet up unpainted areas.
• Abrade fibre glass and aluminium panels with air sander, soft pads and
scotch bright.
• Clean and degrease .
• Fill and fibreglass any damage to bodywork.
• Apply Etch Primer to bare aluminium and metal.
• Mix and apply 2 pack Filler Primer to bodywork. Using automated
gantries in the spray booths.
• Prepare bodywork primer for 2 pack top coat .
• Using fine abrasives and filler.
• Mix and apply finish colour coat.
• Damask and touch up where required.
• Preparing and the Painting various parts.
• End of line snagging. Any repairs and damage after final build of
vehicle.
• Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment.
• Daily Safety checks on air fed mask and filters.
• Ensure work area is safe and clean to work .
• Dispose of any waste solvents/paints correctly.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties Preformed Daily by Myself.
• Daily Production Meeting.
• Preform Micrometer thickness test and record readings of previous days painted
items.
*All our coatings Require 24hr Drying time prior to additional Coatings been
applied or handing*
• Cleans grease and dirt from product.
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
• Select and mix coatings liquid to products specification.Check paint batch and
Spec to Drawings and spec.
• Check product is suitable to paint, removing loose scale - rust - any anti bodies
- with wire brush, sander,wire wool ect.
• Preform saftey and Maintenance Check the Air assited /Airless/Electro static
Spray Pump as well as the Gun , air and paint lines.
• Treats areas inaccessible to Air assised gun ect with brush/roller or hvlp
gravity/suction spray gun.
• Paint work piece to specified thickness .
• Preform wet comb thickness check (in unseen area ) .
• Clean all spraying equipment and brushes with solvent. (Readying for next job)
• Dispose off all waste Paint/Solvents/Flammables to the
in-house Recycling plant.
• Ensure that all federal requirements and company guidelines are met, and that
all safety rules are followed when performing duties.
• Complying with SPCC/Subsea guidelines.
• Record any repairs made.
• Perform other duties as assigned. • Preparation for delivery.
• De-mask and touch up where required.
• Kept good house keeping throughout the the shift .
