2.1 Company Profile
DAKI Coffee is a start-up Addis Ababa based which provides roasted and grinded coffee. It is
formed as a partnership by the founders Fiseha Gebremariam and Meles Alene. They have
brought supplying the market with Arabica coffee with expertise driven standard of roasting;
automating the beloved traditional way of Ethiopian Mothers’ coffee processing method which is
why dubbed as DAKI.

Target Market Segments

DAKI Coffee has identified three distinct customer segments that it will actively pursue. The
first group is made up of Cafés and drive-through with 9,653. The second group is
restaurants with 1,244 possible customers and is growing at 10% annual rate. The last segment is
supermarkets that sell unprepared beans as well to their customers in either whole bean or
ground forms. This segment has 331 potential customers.

Management
DAKI Coffee is being led by Fiseha Gebremariam. Fiseha has a strong educational background,
banking experience and finance related trainings. Fiseha received his Bachelor of Economics
from Addis Ababa University. And he is undertaking coffee sensory training from acknowledged
institute in Addis Ababa.

In addition, the co-owner Meles Alene is BA holder in marketing and well experienced in
Marketing with distribution of IT product packages and Arada beer in about 1600 bar outlets in
Addis Ababa.

Mission
It is DAKI Coffee’s mission to offer the finest selection of coffees. By using the customs from
long stayed tradition of Ethiopian mothers’, DAKI Coffee’s products will surpass all of its
competition. A strong customer service ethic will support the fantastic product.

Objectives

DAKI Coffee’s objectives are to build brand awareness and customer service excellence,
while increasing sales. DAKI Coffee intends to utilize the following strategies to achieve these
objectives:

 Develop a high-quality menu of different coffee blends.


 Provide an excellent service experience, anticipating the needs of the customers and
delivering the best service.
 Leverage the art of roasting methods to increase market penetration with the finest
product available.

Keys to Success

 DAKI Coffee has identified three key areas to get on track of success and for that matter
to keep on. The first one is to process the finest coffee possible which is Sidama level
one in our case. The second is to provide the topnotch customer service that exceeds their
expectation. The third one is the development of accounting and finance policy and
proper implementation so as to ensure fiscal policy.

DAKI Coffee is Addis based partnership. The primary stockholders are Fiseha Gebremariam
and Meles Alene.

and store, 20m2 for office, 20M2 for guard room, 4m2 for rest room the rest for corridor.

Products
DAKI Coffee offers a wide range of specially blended and roasted coffees. DAKI Coffee will be
using the art of roasting method to roast coffee. DAKI Coffee first will select and cup the coffee,
then blend different beans before roasting.

The key to a wonderful bag of roasted beans is the blending of different coffee beans. Coffee
beans are a global commodity. There are many different types of beans, distinctive in the genre
of plant that the bean comes from as well as the region that the bean is grown. Beyond these
distinctions, beans are still a commodity. However, of Ethiopian kind is unique and favorite
worldwide for its Arabica nature.

Blending different types of beans makes huge differences. The roasting technique also plays a
role in the taste of the coffee.

DAKI Coffee will offer a wide range of coffees including:

 African Roast
 Italian Roast
 French Roast
 Columbian Dark
 Sumatra
 Bistro Blend
 Kona
 Kenya
 Decaf- available in the following blends: Bistro, Sumatra, French and Italian Roasts
 Espresso and Decaf Espresso

Each coffee is available in one pound and five pound packages, in both whole bean and ground
versions. Every product that Beanisimo Coffee produces attempts to be the best in its respective
product category based on quality and taste.
