Let Us Reflect
When the Spaniards first set foot in the islands of Philippines, they
introduced the catholic religion and they build churches that helped them to
spread their faith and used it to gain the trust and belief of the people.
During the three hundred thirty three years of Spanish colonialization, the
Philippine architecture was dominated by the Spanish influences from the
basic structures up to the big cathedrals that exist until today that were
fronted by the Friars.
Majority of the Architectural structures in the Philippines are results of
varied influenced not only by the Spaniards but as well as the neighboring
country. It is an undeniable fact that some parts of our country are
considered as the center of architecture, some example of it are the Molo
Church and Miag-ao Church.
