Skating is a sport that consists of sliding on a regular surface using skates placed on the
feet. Whoever practices this discipline is called a "professional skater" and does so on
skating rinks, also known as "skating rinks" or "skating rinks".
In 1733 the Dutchman Hoans Brinker built the first metal roller skates, but he did not
imagine that it would have the popularity it has today.
In 1857 two skating rinks were opened in Covent Garden and Strand, two very important
areas in central London.
In 1876 the first skating center was opened in Paris as a fashionable sport.
In 1905 the Amateur Hockey Association was founded in England. In 1909 the sport began
to be played in the county of Kent.
In 1924, representatives of Switzerland, France, Germany and Great Britain met, founding
the Federation International Du Patinaje a roulette. In 1946 the Spanish Hockey and
Skating Federation was created and Spain debuted in international competitions in 1947
in Lisbon.
