CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Hello everyone… Servite School welcomes all of you to the most magical, miraculous
and the most sparkling time of the year.
Welcome everyone to the Christmas season. The seasons of joy, festivity, cheer of loving
and giving. It is a season to make merry, a season to love and to forget your sorrows. The
season of happiness is here.

 Lighting the lamp

Our relationship with light is as old as our beginnings. We have always been drawn towards
the light. It stands for auspiciousness, Prosperity and abundance.

Light brings brightness in doing. Let’s call upon our most honourable chief Guest J.F.M.
Advocate, Former Public Prosecutor of Mahila court, Mrs. V.Subachini Wilson along
with our Correspondent sister Flory Mary and our Principal sister Mercy Immaculate to
light the lamp.
Now, I may invite our teacher Mrs. Mala mam, our student Master, Orion of class X , our
Aunty Mrs .Jebakani and our driver uncle Mr. Robin to light the lamp.

Introduction:

“ Glory to lord in the highest on earth. Peace and Goodwill towards men”

Christmas is a day commemorate the birth of Jesus. The festival illuminates the world with
the warmth of love, care and sharing. Christmas announces joy to the world and peace on
earth, as love is born on Christmas day.

Blessed season is here. Honourable dignitaries and valued guests, it’s my tremendous duty to
welcome you all on this celebration with future leaders from Servite..
Dear audience, with a great pleasure in heart and smile in our face, hearty welcome to all.
On this great day, now may I call upon our Angel to handover the memento along with the
bouquet to Sister Correspondent . I request our sister Correspondent to welcome our Chief
Guest J.F.M. Advocate Mrs. V.Subachini Wilson Let me call upon our Angel to handover the
bouquet to Sister Principal to welcome our Guest of Honour, Sister Flory Mary the
correspondent of Servite school CBSE, with a token of love.

Now, I may call upon our Head boy, Master. Gnana Jerish to welcome our Sister Principal
with a bouquet.

On behalf of the management, I thank the dignitaries on stage for providing their
gracious presence to join us today and to enhance our joy.
My heartiest welcome to my beloved teachers and my dear students.

Parents are the entire world for a child. Today, with the constant efforts of the parents, this
school possesses the best children. With great pleasure, I welcome all the parents who have
made efforts to bless us with their presence…Welcome dear Parents..
I humbly request our dignitaries on the stage along with our Sister correspondent, Sister
Principal to be seated in the front arena of stage which is kept ready.

Thank you dignitaries we are ready to begin today‟s program.

Our heart beats have gone up and everyone is eager to sink into the depth of music, song,
lights and joy. Well, here you are. Today, we will have rainbow of cultural programs
prepared under the able stewardship of our teachers.

All of us are well aware with the biblical birth of Jesus . The arrival of Lord was
announced by the stars to the kingsmen. Kingsmen of various countries visited the baby
Jesus….But today we are going to have excitement filled programs on the topic “ Birth of
Jesus in 21st century”

Are you excited? Come on.., to witness in rapt attention the spectacular story.

Skit (mc)

Love came, held safely within a gentle womb

All the truth, majesty, and creativity of a living God

Poured into a tiny heart

Making a quiet entrance in a dark and uninviting shack

Just one star shone light as a handful of people were brought Led by

angelic voices, and open hearts

A young mother

A faith-filled father

Men of wisdom who searched for truth

And a group of humble herdsmen

They came to bow before a new life.

It’s time to watch the Skit on the topic

“Birth of Jesus in 21st century”.

 Scene 1 (At Mother Mary’s home)

Church bell rings…(audio)

(Mary and her family knelt in front stage for Prayers….)

Mary: Mother, why do we have so many churches?‟

Ann: We have so many Churches as it is a place of worship.

Mary: But mom…my teachers said “God is everywhere….”

Ann: Fine, I will give you an example Mary ….

“Air is everywhere, but we need a fan, to feel the cool air”, Isn‟t it?

Mary: Yes…I do understand now mom.

(Lets pray to lord God to protect the universe )

 Prayer dance (Iraiva…..)

(Mary and her family knelt in front stage for Prayers (join before last scene of the
dance)…. Slowly moves back and kneels down in prayer.

Mary : Mom.. really I have felt the presence of God .

Tomorrow is my birthday do you remember?

Ann: Yes dear, how do I forget?

Mary: Then….Where is my birthday dress & Gifts all mom? , This time I would like to have
a birthday party with my friends in a hotel.

Ann : No way, Hotel for a birthday ? don’t waste money in a luxurious way.

Mary: But why not a grand celebration…You know something ma…Every one of my friends
celebrate and keep it as their status..

Ann : Tomorrow, I will take to you to the most memorable place which is filled only with
love, peace and full of positive vibes..

Mary: Ok...let me agree with you mom. I know you will say only for my goodness..

 Ann: (On phone) Hello…Tomorrow, we would like to celebrate our daughter's birthday at
your Old Age Home.

Old age home receptionist (On phone ): yeah, sure mam, May I know at what time would
you arrive ?

Ann: (On phone):Around 11.00 A.M 

Old age home receptionist (On phone ): ok, mam ..see you tomorrow.

SHEPHERDS: (were doing their work outside the home)

SCENE - 2(OLD AGE HOME)

Old age home Manager: Welcome Dear, Mary & family .We are extremely happy for your
arrival .Our home has arranged a birthday celebration for you. Kindly join with us.

Mary shows excitement in her doings…

Mary: Hello grandparents …Do you all had your lunch?

Old man: Yes my dear one ..it was a delicious food? cries even my own children have left us
alone..they never bothered about us…but you are so loving my dear…

Mary: (wipes off the tears) Bless me pls…(gets blessings from everyone)

Old people: May God bless you abundantly….

Grand ma: May, God bless you with all important values in your life. Like today, May you
bring out the best attribute in you.

MC: Really this child is a well-mannered and disciplined one. Also I could see sincerity in her
behaviour.

MC: I too have witnessed it. Definitely God blesses such good children in a special way…Do
you know something ….All essentials like Sincerity, Obedience, Honesty and Discipline are
most required for a full-fledged life. The values which we learn both in home and school
environment makes us a great community of learners.

 Mime- Discipline

Mary: Mom I have a doubt. Why many old parents are left there even though they are from
rich families, some of their children are well educated too…!

Ann: These pupil run behind money & they forget their parents. Also the sacrifices they made
for their children.

Dear students….Will you all take care of your Parents when they are old?

Can I hear it once again… Yes. (chorus by old age home people)

SCENE 3 - VOICE OF GOD AT MODERN TIMES

Mary (using mobile ): continuous call. Nowadays I am getting a lot of calls.

This number seems to be a spam call,
let me ignore the call . (she tries to cut the call)
Mary (using mobile): message appears (notification sound)
Mary (read the wats app) Message from Gabriel.
Gabriel: “Greetings O favored one, the Lord is with you.” as you are using the mobile phone
& social media towards the path of obedience & discipline.
“Don’t be afraid! God is pleased with you, and you will have a son. His name will be Jesus.  

MC: I am often getting disturbed while learning.. Social Medias distract me a lot…I am
finding a way to come out of that.
MC: Me too, faced the same problem..but I have got rid of that by avoiding the unnecessary
usage .I am using it fruitfully like Mother Mary.

 Concept Dance ( Social Media)

Mary (read the Newspaper) : Message from Gabriel again???
Gabriel: “Greetings O favored one, the Lord is with you.” as you are using the mobile phone
& social media towards the path of obedience & discipline.
“Don’t be afraid! God is pleased with you, and you will have a son. His name will be Jesus.  
Narrator: Mary is confused & puzzled with this message.
Mary: “How can this happen?”   
Angel (appears on stage)
Gabriel: “The Holy Spirit will come down to you, and God’s power will come over you. So
your child will be called the Holy Son of God. Nothing is impossible with God.
Mary : I serve the Lord. May it happen to me just as you said it would?
(Joseph sleeping)
Narrator : When Joseph woke from sleep he did as the angel told him and took Mary as his
wife.(JOSEPH CROSS THE STAGE )                                            
Joseph: Mary Iam worried a lot ..there is no place for us to stay at this critical situation. Even
if we have a little money we may get some help…but I have spent all money in travelling to
seek a place.
Mary: Don’t worry …I have some money which I kept as savings. Let us use it to search an
Inn to stay.

 SCENE -4 BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST - Baby sound is played

The SHEPHERDS run all over into the audience, going to various  places and saying, “Jesus is
born!” A group of beautiful angels and team of snowmen from Antartica have arrived to
express their joy and happiness. Dear audience please focus on the stage.

(Mary, joseph ,baby & shepherds on house in front)

 KG DANCE – Angels and snowmen

MC: Just now there is a message from the shepard on the Birth of Jesus which is common
for the entire world. Henceforth people from different states, capitals and union territories
come to rejoice the Birth of Jesus. They came in their own costume and tradition . Skilled
people came from villages and cities. They danced and performed to praise the King of
Kings. Not only human beings delighted, but also all the birds and animals expressed their
joy.

 SCENE -5 -Arrival of three Kings

MC : The three leaders  traveled and followed the map into the city of Bethlehem. When they
saw the NEWS “Jesus is born”. The Kings of various countries were extremely happy to
witness the birth of King of kings, the creator of the universe. The three kings are led by the
shining bright star put up on the stage to show the direction of Bethlehem.

LEADER 1 : I have brought some Gold. Tradition says that gold represented kingship. We’ve
already talked about how Jesus is the King of Kings, so gold was a great gift for the wise men
to give Him! Jesus’ parents also may have used it to help care for Him as He was growing up.
(kneels and lays his gift on the ground)

LEADER  2: I have brought some  Frankincense  It’s  resin that comes from the sap of a tree.
It is used as incense, which means that it is burned because of the pleasant scent it releases.
Frankincense looks like small milky white rocks and is very valuable. It also has a symbolic
meaning, representing his holiness, divinity.

(kneels and lays his gift on the ground)

LEADER 3: I have brought some Myrrh, an expensive spice that was used as incense or for
anointing the dead to prepare them for burial. Myrrh was given as a gift of great value, but it
also represents the sacrifice that he would make on the cross to pay for the sins of the
world. (kneels and lays his gift on the ground)

 Chief Guest Address

MC: The heavens declared the glory of God ; the skies proclaimed the work of his hands. Day
after day they pour forth speech. Along with the three kings there is yet another eminent
personality to give us the gift of the day through her gracious words of wisdom and
knowledge. It is none other than our Chief Guest J.F.M. Advocate, Mrs. V.Subachini Wilson. I
am profusely elated to invite our chief Guest to gift us with her speech. Please mam…

This is a blessed day with the words of three kings and Chief guest who enlightened us with
her words of wisdom. Still today, wise men seek Jesus. As blind will see, the deaf will hear,
and the dead will live again. For God so loved the world that he gave His One and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Angels, Shepards, people from different states and capital, Birds, animals, finally the
three kings were overwhelmed with joy. Their heart lingers the melody of joy to praise
the birth of lord God.

MC:
We acknowledge that the rescuer had arrived that the Word of God had come alive
That was a mesmerizing skit on stage that has happened in 21st century.

 Conclusion of the skit:

“Every struggle in our life has shaped us into the person who we are today” The wheels
started rolling weeks ago. Dear friends..In this season of blossom.. you all would have seen a
beautiful transformation of struggle into a new life, which resembles the overall
development of a student requires Peace, Joy, Hope and Love. Let’s bring these magical
words to every heart and every home.

Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul.

With this theme of our Christmas celebration, it is a beautiful occasion to express our
gratitude.

 VOTE OF THANKS
Good Morning to the honourable Chief Guest, respected Principal, Parents, teachers and my
dear students. First of all, I would like to thank our sister Correspondent and Sister Principal,
for arranging such a grand Christmas celebration.
It is a great honour for me to propose Vote of Thanks. On behalf of the entire institution, I
would like to thank the honourable chief guest J.F.M. Advocate, Mrs. V.Subachini Wilson for
your presence and inspiring words. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Also, I want to
express my heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries present today. I would also like to thank
wholeheartedly to the student committee, Teaching and Non- Teaching staff for the complete
preparation of this Christmas day programme, I have also obligated to the parents present
here, your participation and suggestions always help us. Finally, I would like to say, Wish you
all a Happy Christmas & Advance happy New year Thank you all..

century in bullet to greet you all a merry christmas in this merry moment. Come on
