1. Has the scaffold been inspected by an appointed scaffold supervisor within the last 7
days? (Green “Safe-to-use” tag available)
2. Is the surrounding area and vicinity of the bases for the scaffold water-logged?
3. Are the sole plates and base plates still in good condition and in its original position?
4. Are foot-ties still in position?
5. Are the standards plumb, as observed from base level?
6. Are the ledgers and transoms horizontal, as observed?
7. Are all bracings complete?
8. Are tie-ins to the structure correctly installed and in sufficient numbers and correct position to
ensure the stability of the scaffold?
9. Are there any excavations or new constructions that may affect the stability of the scaffold?
10. Is the ladder access easy to climb?
11. Are all working platforms completely decked out and toe-boards fitted?
12. Are the working platforms, access ways and landings cleared off any obstructions, loose objects,
and tripping hazards?
13. Are the materials, stored on the platform, dispersed so as not to cause a concentration of
load more than that is permitted?
14. Are the guardrails fitted at the correct height and location?
15. Are the working platforms fully secured?
16. Has the scaffold been used only for its intended purpose e.g. It has not been used to support
formwork, shoring or as a stabilizer?
