LESSON 4: LINES

I. Overview: In this lesson, you will be able to introduce to different types of


lines. It is very important to recognize lines because lines has something to do
with the shapes, numbers, letters, symbols or things around us.

II. A. Objectives: At the end of the lesson you will be able to:
 recognize and identify different types of lines,
 produce a line through art or by writing it.
B. Background Information:

The Dotted Line:


A line that is made up of a series of dots.

The Broken Line:


A discontinuous line or a line composed of series of dashes.

The Horizontal Line:


A line looks like a sleeping line or a line that runs across from left to
right.

Practice drawing horizontal lines by tracing on the broken lines.


The Vertical Line:
A line in a standing position or a line that runs from the top to bottom.

The Slanted Line:

Start writing from
