Motion for Case Consolidation

The accused is charged with three counts of rape in three separate criminal cases. One case was assigned to the Regional Trial Court hearing this motion, while the other two cases were assigned to a different branch. The accused is requesting that all three rape cases be consolidated into one trial before the lower court, as the offenses involve the same parties and facts, and consolidating the cases would avoid conflicting defenses and allow for an expedient resolution by presenting the same evidence and witnesses in one trial. Consolidating the cases is not intended to delay proceedings but rather serve the interests of justice and the parties.
