Some of the pupils can differentiate
between computer and television.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the
aid of Charts or pictures, Flash cards,
Mouse, Printer, Speakers, Plain paper,
Colour Pencils, Keyboard, Monitor, System
unit.
METHOD OF TEACHING
Choose a suitable and appropriate methods
for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of
teaching, always introduce an activities that
will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to
the lessons.

A computer is a machine that counts,
calculates and draws.
Computer thinks and calculates faster than
you.
Television looks like a computer but it is not
a computer.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the
following steps:
To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises
the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she
asks the pupils some questions;
1. Displays functional computer system and
television (if available) or chart showing
computer and television.
2. Points to computer and television and
ask, what is this?
Pupil’s Activities – Identify Computer and
television.
3. Asks pupils, do you have computer and
television at home?
Pupil’s Activities – Say Yes/No responses.
4. Tells pupils, this is a computer and this is
a television.
Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the teacher and
observe the computer.
5. Describes computer using the basic
functionality like calculate, draw, etc.
Pupil’s Activities – Listen and describe a
computer.
6. Guides pupils to identify each of
computer and spell – C O M P U T I O N.
Pupil’s Activities – Spell and write computer.
7. Summarizes the lesson on the board.
Pupil’s Activities – Copy as the teacher
write.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the
teacher revises the entire lesson and links it
to the following week’s lesson.
