STATEMENTOFPURPOSE

My name is Tayyaba Imtiaz. I obtained my MSc degree in biology from Arid Agriculture
University Rawalpindi. I have been a student of the sciences. Science-oriented subjects have
always been fascinating to me, most especially fields that are related to depth knowledge of the
human body. My passion for biology has inspired me to pursue a Master's degree in Advance
Biomedical Science. As someone born and raised in Pakistan, I realized the need of biomedical
science especially in lower economically developed countries where health issues such as
Malaria, HIV and Tuberculosis have affected the country. My early awareness of these health
issues sparked my interest in conducting research in biomedical science.

I am deeply fascinated by the field of biology, which motivated me to conduct a

“research project”. Aside from university academics, I also became involved actively in various
extracurricular activities, I believe that cultivating independence is essential for success at the
university level. My studies in biology have honed my logical reasoning skills. To deepen my
understanding, I pursued further research on topics such as the relationship between anxiety
and gut bacteria in human populations. Through my research experiences, I have developed
strong organizational skills and a structured approach to collecting and analyzing data. My
research experiences have taught me the importance of meeting deadlines and managing a
workload efficiently, skills which I believe are crucial for success in scientific research.

While studying two years in university, I participated in different activities, including volunteer
work with flood victims, and a women empowerment organization in Pakistan. The motivating
force behind all of this was my personal goal of developing different aspects of my own
personality and doing some helpful things for my developing country. My supervisors have
always been satisfied with my work. I also have two years of work experience as a lab assistant
in the field of biology. This experience helped me understand the importance of teamwork and
allow me to develop my skill in decision-making and problem-solving.

I have been intrigued by human biology and how it works, and this interest has been enhanced
through my studies of different disciplines of biology. This allowed me to explore the first stage
of human physiology and development. I have to enhance my academic background to a higher
level at your university. I choose the Master’s degree in Advance Biomedical Science because I
realized this was a program that would lead me toward my career objective. I believe that this is
the main gateway to realizing my dream, to be a biomedical scientist. I hope by joining the
program I will learn more fundamental knowledge and valuable skills in biomedical research
and medicine. My Last degree is directly related to this program and this provides me with a
competitive edge and the background to flourish in this program. I believe my background will
qualify me for this master's program as I have done MSc in biology and biomedical science is
an academic field that combines the studies of biology.

The Master's program I have chosen to pursue will be essential for both my personal growth
and the development of my country. My intention is to expand my knowledge and gain new
experiences, and I am excited about the opportunity to live and study abroad. I am eager to
learn from experienced researchers and utilize advanced laboratory facilities. I am highly
motivated and determined, and I believe that these qualities make me a strong candidate for this
program. I am self motivated, confident that my academic knowledge, along with my skills and
expertise gained from various experiences will make me succeed in the esteemed career of
biomedical science.

I want to study in UK because UK based degrees having huge respect globally. The
employability rate is around 96%. Certainly I will be able to bring a change in my own country
at some level after getting a degree from united kingdom, A UK university degree holds
immense value, being on par with qualifications earned in the US, Australia, and other
European nations. The government and universities offer numerous benefits to assist students
in their pursuit of academic excellence. With high academic standards and quality education,
students are equipped with the necessary skills to succeed in their chosen fields. International
students can benefit from studying in the UK at a lower cost than in other countries worldwide.
Scholarships are also available to reduce expenses, enabling students to receive a top-quality
education at a minimal cost. After conducting thorough research, including exploring other
study destinations such as Canada, Australia, the USA, and several European countries, I
concluded that the UK was the most suitable option for me.

The Manchester Metropolitan University Biomedical Science MSc program is the ideal
choice for me due to several reasons. Firstly, It has a strong reputation for producing highly
skilled graduates who are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their
chosen field, the university is renowned for its excellent academic standards and research
facilities.

disciplines. Manchester Metropolitan University has a strong reputation for academic
excellence, with many of its courses ranking highly in national league tables. I am confident
that studying at the Manchester Metropolitan University will provide me with access to cutting-
edge research and the latest developments in the field of biomedical science.

In addition, The Manchester Metropolitan University Advanced Biomedical Sciences MSc

program offers a range of specialized modules that align perfectly with my research
interests, such as Advanced Biological Aspects of Diseases, Genomics and
Bioinformatics, Pathobiology of Infectious Diseases and The Pathobiology of Neurological
Diseases. These modules will provide me with a comprehensive understanding of the field and
prepare me for a career in scientific research.

In conclusion, I am excited about the prospect of joining the Biomedical Science MSc program
at the Manchester Metropolitan University With my academic background, research experience,
and passion for the field, I am confident that I can contribute positively to the program and
