UTP 641 KB

UTP 641 Kb is an electrode for welding and surfacing applications that can be used for high-quality welding of vessel and tube steels up to an operating temperature of 570°C. The weld metal has good hardenability and can be quenched and tempered. It can be welded in all positions except vertical-down and has a recovery rate of 115%. Typical mechanical properties after different heat treatments are provided. The electrode is approved by TÜV and its parameters and chemical composition are also specified.

Application field
UTP 641 Kb can used for high-quality welding-seams on vessel- and tube steels and similar steel qualities.
Operating temperature up to 570 °C. Furthermore for similar-alloyed tempering steels, non treated hardened
steels and nitride steels.

Welding properties
The weld metal can be quenched and tempered and consists of a good hardenability. For applications on
tempered steels the hardness depends on the dilution degree with the base metal. The electrode can be welded
in all positions except vertical-down. Dry storage. If necessary redry for approx. 2 h at 300 °C. Reco very 115%.
