Materials
• 2 sheets 7-count plastic canvas
• Plastic canvas yarn* as listed in
color key
• 1/8-inch-wide metallic needlepoint
yarn* as listed in color key
• #16 tapestry needle
*Sample project was completed using
Uniek Needloft plastic canvas yarn and
Rainbow Gallery Plastic Canvas 7 Metallic
Needlepoint Yarn.
Instructions
1. Cut plastic canvas according to
graphs. Cut two 21-hole x 57-hole
pieces for pockets. Pockets will
remain unstitched.
2. Stitch pieces following
graphs and diagram for Barg-
ello Stitch, using two stitches
per hole where indicated and
working Backstitches around
silver crosses while stitching.
When all background stitch-
ing is completed, work dark
royal Cross Stitch over
cross bar of each cross.
3. Using royal through-
out, Whipstitch front
and back to spine.
Whipstitch pockets to
wrong sides of front
and back along outer
edges, Overcasting
remaining edges while at-
taching pockets. ❖
