1 Scope
This specification together with the Purchase Order covers the minimum requirements
for waist length outer wear-jacket that is used by Industrial Security personnel. Jackets
to this specification are stocked by size under 1000219423, 1000219427, 1000219431,
1000219435 and 1000219438.
2 Conflicts and Deviations
2.1 Any conflicts between this specification and other applicable Saudi Aramco
Materials System Specifications (SAMSSs), Engineering Standards (SAESs),
Standard Drawings (SASDs), or industry standards, codes, and forms shall be
resolved in writing by the Company or Buyer Representative through the
General Manager, Industrial Security Operations of Saudi Aramco, Dhahran.
2.2 Direct all requests to deviate from this specification in writing to the Company or
Buyer Representative, who shall follow internal company procedure SAEP-302
and forward such requests to the General Manager, Industrial Security Operations
of Saudi Aramco, Dhahran.
2.3 If conflicts or deviations arise between this Specification and other Purchase
Order documents not specifically covered as exceptions by the Purchase Order,
the Buyer shall be consulted and a ruling shall be obtained by the manufacturer
in writing before work proceeds. Industrial Security reserves the right to review,
test and reject any manufacturer's uniform jacket before acceptance.
3 References
All referenced Specifications, Standards, Codes, Forms, Drawings, and similar material
shall be considered part of this Specification to the extent specified herein and shall be the
latest issue (including all revisions, addenda, and supplements) unless stated otherwise.

4 Material and Manufacturing Requirements
4.1 Color
The color of the Jacket will be Dark Brown.
4.2 Shell Fabric
65% Polyester and 35% combed Cotton with high thread count specification
20 x 20 / 98 x 48 tropical weave with durable water repellent finish.
4.3 Body Lining
The lining fabric is a high-count poplin fabric 45 x 45 x 110 x 70 - 58 quilted to
226.8 gm (8 oz) reprocessed acrylic and other fibers - 3.5" x 3.5" quilting.
Addition detachable lining is attached with Zip #5, made out of Deluxe fur,
#9010H Brown, acrylic fiber with pile length 10 mm, to give cozy and
comfortable warmth. All the edges are securely sewn down.
4.4 Sleeves
The sleeves are secured to the body of the Jacket by means of a morrow stitch
with a safety, stitch to properly strengthen the seam. The same seam is used for
the side closing seams as well.
4.5 Cuff
Round Coat Cuff with elasticized fabric grip hidden inside for better protection.
4.6 Collar and Cap
Stand Collar with hood attachment. The cap can be hidden inside the collar with
Zip closer. Collar length 445 mm (7.5 cm), width 90 mm (3.5 in), having strip
with Velcro closer for additional wind protection.
4.7 Pocket
Two large chest patch pockets with pointed flap 152 mm (6") deep 5.5 inch wide
(140 mm). There is a pencil stitch in the right side of the left pocket 32 mm
(1-¼ inch) wide, both pockets are to have a 30 mm (1.1 inch) box pleat stitched
at the top and bottom to prevent spreading.
4.8 Pocket Flaps
It has two scalloped flaps to finish 140 mm (5.5 inch) in length and 65 mm
(2.34 inch) width at the center flaps to be secured to the front of the jacket with

two rows of stitching approximately 6 mm (¼ inch) above the top of the pocket.
The left flap is to have a pencil opening about 32 mm (1-¼ inch) in width.
The flaps are closed using Velcro, which match the colour sewn into the flaps
and pocket.
4.9 Rest Pocket
Two armrest pockets with strong lining size opening 165 mm (6.5 inch) bone
width 25 mm (1.1 m) 25 mm, depth 240 mm (9.5 inch).
4.10 Pencil Pocket
There are pencil pockets on the left sleeve with two slots, 65 mm (2.5 inch) x
140 mm (5.5 inch), properly bar tagged to provide strength to the ends.
4.11 Front
Each front has a facing approximately 65 mm (2.5 inch) in width, extending
from neckline to the bottom of Jacket in the left front covering the Zip.
Having three snap fasteners made of copper to protect rusting with moist air one
in the top 25 mm from the top edge, one in center 375 mm and a third at the
bottom 25 mm, above the bottom line in the flap.
4.12 Front Fastening
The front fastening is heavy duty YKK #8 industrial strength metallic zipper
covered with a flap.
4.13 Care
Wash or dry clean.
4.14 Length
83.30 cm (34 inches).
4.15 Logo Patch
A logo patch will be sewn on each sleeve. The patches will be sewn 25.4 mm
below shoulder seam. A copy of the logo is included in Attachment A.
The patch background will be light beige and the stitching will be specified by
Industrial Security.
4.16 Labeling
All jackets shall have a permanent brand label sewn to the inside of the jacket
attached to the yoke. The material and specification with wash care label should

be sewn on the right side of the Jacket lining 250 mm, above the bottom.
The material for the label should be a permanent to withstand repeated washing
for the life of the garment.
The label should be made of soft material and not irritating to the skin.
The labels should contain the following information:
1. Manufacturer's name and country of origin.
2. Manufacturer's stock/lot number.
3. Neck size.
4. Complete Care/Washing instructions.
5. Blend.
6. Finishing.
5 Packing
Each Jacket will be carefully pressed by hand in first class manner. Jackets shall be
packed 4 pcs to a box with sizes marked on the outside of the box at one end.

6 Inspection
Inspection of Jacket will be performed by the Buyer's representative per Saudi Aramco
Inspection Requirements Form 175, attached to the Purchase Order. This inspection
will verify that all requirements of this Specification are met.
