The body
The assembly illustration is divided up in 3 parts; the front, the back and the bottom part with the
side parts. You can assembly the pieces however you want but
this is a guide to make it easier.
The front piece:
To make this part you’ll need:
1 Square
2 Pentagons
7 Hexagons
The back piece:
To make this part you’ll
need:
3 Pentagons
7 Hexagons
The bottom piece with the sides:
To make this part you’ll need:
5 Pentagons
10 Hexagons
Assembly of all the parts
The stars around the square are to be sewn together with the stars on the pentagon and hexagons
Eyes (Make 2)
The eyes will be made in two layers. Underneath you will make a hexagon and then place a circle on
top. To sew the two pieces together you should put the circle on top of the hexagon and place it so
the edges are just next to the dc of the hexagon. Take the yarn needle and white yarn and sew
through both loops of the circle and down between the dc of the hexagon. Do like this all the way
around! With black yarn, make the eyelashes as shown in the picture.
Circle:

Rnd 6: *1 sc, inc* x 6 (18)
Rnd 7-9: 3 rounds with 1 sc in each sc (18)
Rnd 10: *2 sc, inc* x 6 (24)
Rnd 11: 1 sc in each sc (24)
Rnd 12: *3 sc, inc* x 6 (30)

The Cockscomb
To make this part you will need:
6 Pentagons in red 3
1. Start with folding a pentagon and sew 2 sides together. Do the same with another pentagon.
2. Take two pentagons and sew the tops together. Take another 2 pentagons and do the same thing.
3. Sew all the parts together as the green lines
are showing.
4. Crochet one round of sc all around the 4
opening of the cockscomb. Fill it with fibrefill.
The wings
The wings are made up with 6 pentagons,
1
3 on each side. Fold one pentagon so that
the outside is out and as the picture on
the right is showing. One of the sides will
be folded in the middle.
Sew with the yarn needle along side 1 and
2. Turn the pentagons inside out so that
the front side of the pentagon is out. Sew
on side 3 of the pentagons to close it up.
Sew 3 pentagons together with side 3
towards each other. Sew onto the body.
