Cancer affects all of us. Millions of Americans are diagnosed with cancer every year, and this horrible disease has touched most everyone. The treatment of cancer leaves those who undergo it weak, tired, and nauseous. At Joy Rising, our goal is to provide some comfort to cancer patients by granting a means to look (and ultimately feel) like themselves again. Our founders, Josif Wittnek and Joda Joy Wunderlich, saw a need for cancer patients to have realistic hair systems (wigs) when Joda was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago. Josif was able to provide her with an undetectable wig, and since they have been working to find a way to provide the same for anyone undergoing treatment that needs it. If a cancer patient doesnt feel like they look sick, it can make enjoying their everyday lives during treatment much easier. Going to the grocery store, attending their childs play, or celebrating a loved ones special event are rarely times when one wishes to be asked about their disease. By providing patients with custom styled wigs, those on their cancer journey can focus on healing, and share the details of their treatment privately. Joy Rising, Inc. is an eager, grass-roots, registered Non-Profit Charity, and every contribution is greatly appreciated. In return for your tax-deductible donation (and with your consent), Joy Rising will display your companys name/logo on our event signage, invitations, and any other printed materials. We will also provide a link to your companys website (on our donors page) from www.joyrisingproject.org (under construction until Oct. 2011).
