Knitting Patterw Maple Earflap hat & Moss stitch cowl For adult and child (4 yr+) Designed by IreneLin 2015 © lrenetin All rights reserved The pattern is for personal use only Reselling and commercial use are not allowed Overview: This pattern contains 3 charts, 2 for earflap hat (adult & child), 1 for cowl. -- Hat brim is worked flat, then joined to work hat body in rounds. cast on Needles 5.5mm circular needle (40 cm) Double pointed needles for decreasing towards hat top Measurements Adult head circumference 54-60em Child head circumference 44cm+ (after blocking) Yarns [Hat] -- PeCore alpaca blends -- 100g/140m --100g for one adult and one child size [Cowl] -- KID SAFARI K120 -- 49% Wool , 51% Acrylic -- 100g/180m -- 150g for adult size, 100g for child size page2 Chart Legend = [1] knit(k) Knit RS/purl WS =] purl(p) Purl RS/knit WS Q] M1 pick up the bar between 2 sts, place on left needle, knit through the back loop (increase) [A] k2tog Knit two stitches together as one stitch | ssk Slip one stitch as if to knit, slip another stitch as if to knit. Insert left-hand needle into front of these 2 stitches and knit them together. Twist the strands tightly in different directions on each hand. 3. Fold the strands, allowing the two halves to twist together naturally. 4. Knot the end of strands, and your lovely cord is done! Cow! Instructions: 1. Provisional cast on 61 sts. 2. Repeat working as charted to row168. 3. Do not bind off. Use edge-to-edge seam to join the last row and the provisional cast-on row. Repeat working as charted to row168.
